Removing induction guns

I'm using true damage and it makes weapons that use 2mm EC deal 300 damage per shot. gunners that naturally spawn with these deal too much damage, I want to remove them from the leveled list or remove them entirely. How can i do that?

Just out of curiosity, do you use Dak's weapon attachment pack or better locational damage by any chance?
Because I am not using True Damage just the two above and I am facing the same problem.
Induction weapons one- or two-shot me despite being decked out in modded heavy combat armor and they seem to be doing 300+ damage per shot as per the description.

I'm using True Damage and Scourge. It totally remove bullet sponge (including the player if using the patch) Also, make sure you're not using smart damage scaling unless you also use the player patch wich make you HP in par with most npc.(on present playthrough, I'm level 49, 8 endurance and my HP is 90) Also, make sure you are not buffing the damage of the NPC. Now, that been said, if you or your troop also have induction guns, those poor gunners will also suffer. Give a rocket launcher to a few of your troop and you'll see. And personnaly, I never do an assault unless I'm wearing a set of fully buffed T-60 or better, the X-01. You can also use ECO which allow you to put ballistic weave almost every where.

I can say with a very high degree of confidence that it won't be Dak's attachment pack. That only adds extra modifications to the base game's guns, shouldn't even touch others unless something's gone VERY wrong.
Thanks for the reminder to check they'd implemented them onto enemies too, though, Ima download that now

10 minutes later edit: Yeah, installing that did not change the listed damage on the Induction guns for me. Can't be that.

Right back at you, thank you for the play testing! I really enjoy Dak's work so glad to hear it is not the culprit.
So the main suspicion falls on BLD, which I think is from the same mod author as True Damage if memory serves...
I'll test a few things and tweaks over the weekend, let's see what pops up.

Just out of curiosity, what is the listed damage per shot and DPS on the Induction weapons for you on average?

Showing as 94 Physical for me with the Boosted Powerful 'receiver' and the Auto Shotgun 'muzzle'. Stheno (the unique one) has an extra +6 Energy damage with identical modifications.
This character doesn't have the Rifle or Automatic perks, but does have Rank 3 Lone Wanderer (+25% damage when no companion) and Rank 1 Bloody Mess (+5% damage).

Thank you for the super fast reply!
Hm...so mine is definitely borked by comparison. Around 300 damage per shot, with DPS of close to 3000 with automatic variants.
Well, here's to yet another weekend of mod testing... :D

Fully perked into it, I would expect somewhere around 200ish, but not much higher than that, if that helps.

It does, thank you!
Although methinks the potential culprits are narrowed down quite a bit at this point, I'd bet my left leg it's BLD.
Nothing else pops to mind as to why the damage should spike to whopping 300+ per shot.

Anyway, I'll do a bit of testing tomorrow and report back if anything helped. Thank you so much for your patience with me and valuable input!

I had same problem and I had to disable BLD to fix it. Were you able to find some workaround while using bld or found some alternative to bld that dosent have this issue?

I was too far into the playthrough to bother to be honest.
Even though I was contemplating a switch to other mods from the same author (headshot one, locational damage one, power armor one), I just ended up cheesing things with artillery, power armor and heavy weapons/sniping for the most part.

Some fights like Oberland were a quicksave spamfest tbh but it worked out in the end, that one mod that adds red rocket station as settlements was perfect for a chain of outposts with artillery support for the most part.

I play with BLD too, if someone finds a workaround or other similar mod to recommend I'm all ears. Also, leaving a message to follow this thread
