hello i have IDEK and all my ressource are collecte in hangman halley and i have attack disabled so i can't lose ressource from attack but i loose scrap time to time but in the city planners desk the scrap collected stay at 00% so i dont know if is sim settlement or maybe from others mods but i mention it here in case is a bug.
and i noticed to that settler seem to not collect scap the % never grow even if i have ressource in the work bench. the only way the make the scrap goes up is by donnation but look like they steal my scrap so x)

Can you check to see what Hangman's city plan says the settlement is. Check a few times about 1 minute apart.
Thank you

tryed like you say the plan is all time hangman's even tryed to spam to see if the plan is swaped with some others settlement never see another name plan. i will try again after i come back again here to see.

The percent doesn't go up because it takes about 20 seconds to calculate how much scrap is in the workbench which would make that menu obnoxious to open. Settlers are always collecting scrap in the workbench, once there's enough, the city upgrade will use it up.

If you want the percentage to go up, you'll have to manually donate the scrap.

ho ok i didnt know that my bad, but after weeks in game and many scrap "used" they never got to lvl 2 and i needed to donate 2k wood for 100% so if they collect the scrap you just loose it if you decide to donate after ? even if they was near 98% of scrap collected ?

They won't "use" any from your workbench until there's enough for the upgrade and it's time for the upgrade (the exception is manual upgrades, in which case they will use up the scrap in preparation of you pressing the upgrade button).

If you don't have any basic Industrial plots in a settlement, it can take a very, very long time for them to collect the scrap on their own.

Thks for the info so the scrap that are "Stealed" is for another reason i will try to look at it more carrefully and see if it happen again and try to figure out if is maybe Some strange interaction with IDEK logistic.

As far as I know, standard industrial plots generate scrap using the standard surplus item system, the WorkshopScript daily update function that checks WorkshopRatingScavengeGeneral AVs etc. However, the vanilla surplus limit is so low (iirc it's 100 + 5 * settler count total components) that I would expect surplus generation to shut off locally before there are anywhere near enough resources to start an upgrade, if you need 100% of the resources to be in the workbench all at once before the upgrade will start.

If you set up surplus collection using my mod to grab scrap too, then yeah, scrap won't build up in your workbench like it would normally since it'll be getting whisked away to your collection container.

Again lose some 5 nuclear, 15 screw, 13 wood etc but well this time is normal if i understood right cause now i put on manual upgrade cause of the maintenance bug ( dont want to happen again x) )
Before i was on auto so i dont know if it's the bug or normal now ><

just for testing tryed to put auto on city upgrade this time and sleep for 3 days and i lost 47 cloth and all my city are lvl 0 no city upgrade so i think i can confirm there is something that not working somewhere x)

The only time Sim Settlements ever touches scrap in the workbench is when the amount in the workbench is enough to push the percentage up to 100.

I put in another safety check for next patch to make sure under no circumstances is workshop scrap touched unless it's about to push the scrap amount to 100%.

the only thing i'm sur is i lose scrap, none of my settlement lvl up and city upgrade auto or manual dont change the scrap loss, for the setup i have the beacon from IDEK on my hangman's alley workbench and autocollection in that workbench. Tomorow i will try to test more and see if i have some bug with autocollection maybe the others work bench are not givving but steale my scrap dont know x)

You can manually trigger autocollection if you turn on ILS's debug mode via "set ILS_Debug to 1" in the console, the button is in the utilities menu. There's really no way that it could be causing resource loss though, the code that's responsible is riddled with sanity checks before it tries to move anything.

i put some screen shoot before and after just sleep for 3 days as you can see i gained some wood steel and i lose all my copper ( cuivre in french sorry >< ) and some screw etc so autocollection look like work but i lose scrap from something :s and no city upgrade.

I hope i helped you to fix a bug :)

Edit : city upgrade on auto, and tested with manual same just the scrap lost wasn't the same at first test.
