Polyculture agricultural plots?

So one of the things that bothers me about current agricultural plots, aside from how much SPACE they take up, is the fact that it's all a single type of plant, but that's not the most healthy and sustainable way to grow things. Even though I know it's a game and the settlers don't care, I like to give them variety. But very few settlements have the room for a full agricultural plot of each type. It would be really nice if some of the plot type options had mixtures of different crops. I've had no luck whatsoever putting interior plots literally anywhere so even the greenhouse settlements can't do this for me.

Have you looked at the available addon packs? Many of them have ag plots as you are requesting.

Thank you! I'm pretty new to modding my fallout (last time I looked at mods they were all manual install only) and this is definitely one of the most complex mods I've dealt with. It's hard to know what all my options are!

It's also pretty much assumed that you won't be trying to run settlements off only one Agricultural plot - once you start building up you need lots of Food, especially since some Plots can have a 'negative impact' on Food production (to represent the added cost to have them running, to "feed the brahmin", etc).
Although as a Survival Mode player myself, the urge to use nothing but Razorgrain plots is pretty tough to resist...

Razorgrain is used in crafting "Noodle Soup", food class item that also counts as a drink (i guess your dude drinks the broth too) and quite cost/weight efficient.
Ah, much to learn, adapt to, when I finally take the survivor route.

Are you using place everywhere? That mod makes positioning things so much easier.
My Tiny Living (links below) has the bathtub plots mentioned above. Yes they are only one crop but its hard to fit different crops in spaces that small.
I also have a cemetary plots that has harvest-able crops on it if you want to try something like that.

Neat, I never noticed you could harvest those! I've just been doing set and forget with all the new sanitation plots.

...
and if you remove (temporally) the foundation, plot placement is easier. Also, if you place / build compact industral 1x1 plots - you never have to put the foundation back.

Haven't tried that either. Neat.
Hell, I've been playing this game for quite a while and I didn't know you could move and place objects and change movement axis without moving your character until a couple weeks ago.

I am not using Place Everywhere. I also don't know how to move foundations and then restore them? I have Scrap Everything and I've bolloxed some settlements by deleting a major structural element by accident. (had to go to an earlier save to fix it)

Don't feel bad. I've been playing since it came out -off and on - and every day I learn new stuff.

Scrap Everything is one of the mods that it is recommended you avoid due to precombine breakage causing game issues.
Whispers Clean My Settlement is a great alternative.

Ruined Homes and Gardens has some excellent mixed-use plots, but unfortunately, they are only Basic. I wish there were Advanced and High-Tech versions. (I also wish I wasn't so damn lazy, or I'd build my own)

Perhaps I should do a short video? Think there might be interest? 1x1 and 1x 1.5 plots in workshop mode vanilla kit built structures?
