Plot Interiors Guidance

Hello Sim Settlements 2 community, I am fairly new to the MOD. I have assigned 'leaders' to assign other plots, but Sanctuary Hills I want to manually construct myself. As well as the Vault settlement.

I need some advice with plot interiors. I want to construct the outside of say a room/building... then allow settlers to customize inside. Is there any addons you suggest or additional MODs to make this an easier process?

You can build a building yourself and leave the interior empty. Then assign an interior settlement plot (just make sure your building is big enough; it can be tricky to squeeze interior plots into some spaces -- notably the Sanctuary houses -- even though they look big enough).

If you were to play, do you just stick with vanilla assets? Or any specific additional MODs you suggest alongside SS2?

I built a structure with vanilla concrete walls and that, then my SS2 plots couldn't be placed inside without removing the concrete walls.

I've built with vanilla concrete walls and then placed interior plots successfully, but the concrete building has to be big and the plots don't always snap to the walls properly, which is a bit frustrating. Seems to depend on the plot's designer though: some allow for the thickness of walls, some don't.

I played around more and downloaded - Vault-Tec Tools - but I couldn't see any building plans in game. I wanted each plot to fit in a vault theme.
