[New Player] Just lost over an hour of gameplay on survival because of donating wild mutfruit and wild corn to city resources...

That sucks. But yeah, donating with the desk crash is a known one. Even though it's meant to be donating materials and not fruit, either way, it crashes. Hopefully this gets resolved.

in the vanilla game, you can store food and water in the workbench so they can use it and not drop happiness when their main source becomes unavailable (or you don't have one). The planner's desk is for materials only (well caps too), and even that is a rarely used mechanic that I'm pretty sure gives a crash 90% of the time.

I'm very sorry that you've had a difficult time playing with SS2. Thank you very much for playing for as long as you did!

I just wish more of these things were explained. Or not having the ability to donate food. It's not explained and I have to look up so much things and read inbetween the lines to have the mod working properly it feels like. Instead of improving QoL, it just adds more headache, and I'm finding myself even wanting to back to vanilla settlements because it's all easier in the end

Well thank you for your feedback!

Technically the mod is still in development and everything is open to change and improvement. So there's a chance that if you gave SS2 a try again in a year or two you may find a lot of the issues that bothered you resolved.

And again, thank you very much for playing as long as you did, even if you did find certain aspects frustrating.

So this is one of the Known issues on the wiki, and ya, it sucks to lose progress for something as dumb as putting the wrong stuff in the donation box, but fortunately that list is pretty small for all the cool stuff that the mod enhances. it has better writing then most of the base game quests, better characters then most of the base game persons put together, and turns on a bunch of extensions from easier and better settlement bulding, a modular expansion ecosystem, hospitals and disease management, NPC specials, dynamic construction, all kinds of systems improvements, power tools for settlements, etc etc etc,

keep with the game for a little while. i promise you it'll be worth it
