Hi kinggath
The new foundation feature in the ASAM sensor is causing my game to freeze when I try to use it to add/change a foundation. I'm on a basic XBox One.

Otherwhere, your post has been sent directly to KG.

Thank you!

Just to give a little more detailed info: I lay down a plot, click the Customize Plot option and my game freezes. I can play fine if I don't try to add or change a foundation, but if I attempt the Customize Plot it locks up on me. I've waited 2-3 minutes to see if it was going to resume, but it didn't, so I had to quit out and restart.

Your game freezes at Customize Plot, so before you even get to Change Foundation?

Anyone else able to replicate this? I had an idea of what it was until I re-read your post that it's when clicking Customize Plot specifically...

Yes - I don't even get to Change Foundation. I click "Customize Plot" and it freezes.
I have the Sim Settlements (Lite) as well as the Industrial Revolution and RotC mods installed, if that makes any difference.

I am having the same problem on PC have tried it twice, I lay the plot then go to customize plot then It completely freezes my PC. Only way to fix it is close my pc down. I can't even use Crtl shift delete to bring up the task manager to quite that way.

Very strange... Are each of you using the 3-in-1 or base version? The fact that it's not happening for everyone, and given how harmless accessing a message should be - my best guess is that either I uploaded an incorrect version for one of these files, or there's a file missing.

If it doesn't turn out you're all using the same version, then it's likely some sort of mod compatibility issue we're going to have to track down.

@WafflyNimb @Whitesacha Would one of you mind zipping up your SimSettlements.esm, SimSettlements - Main.ba2, and SimSettlements - Textures.ba2 and posting them on a google drive or dropbox and sharing them with me (simsettlements@gmail.com)?

So far, I haven't been able to replicate this, and I'd like to resolve this with a mini-patch before we go to the upcoming 4.0 patch.

Since I posted this I have got a new hard drive so moved my Fallout 4 files to this and reloaded my mods, I have just tried to change foundation and plot types and its working fine now. So guessing maybe something in my load order was causing it.

Hi Kinggath, just wanted to let you know I've been experiencing this same issue. Would you like me to do the same as Whitesacha? Mine only has do due with one plot type (industrial), from what I can tell, which leads me to think it's either an add-on pack issue, or some load order conflict. I do utilize LOOT to sort my order, if that helps.

Whitesacha - Do you know what mods/order you may have changed? So maybe I can fix it as well.

Sorry I don;t as i got rid off a few mods I never used and threw in some new ones, and got rid of my load order when I moved everything over to the new hard drive.

Happens too me too and currently not using 3 in one. Am new to this and still learnig the ropes. I want to use this feature but don't have a clue on what to do . Bug or load order?

So far, it appears to be load order as the number of people experiencing this is very low.

Generally SS has to be pretty high. It's more likely a conflicting mod than actual order. Your best bet will be to try and compare your modlist/order with someone like @Whitesacha who had the issue at one point and doesn't any longer.

@Otherwhere I assume you quit trying to use this feature, but next time you're feeling like risking a crash - can you give it another go on your latest character?

I still can't fathom anything that would trigger this, but hoping a fix occurred incidentally in one of these patches since then.

As of my latest test, working fine. Thanks!
