My *.FOS files disappeared from my save directory.

I simply replaced my Wolverine Ultimate controller with a new one on my PC and the files went poof, luckily with the help of google search I was able to locate a copy of them in my userdata folder and moved them into my save folder. The only files that were left in my save folder were the F4se files, no FOS files, I was in panic mode thinking I was going to have to start all over again, my character was at lvl 49 and my very first playthrough with SS2 and having to restart the story all over again would have sucked, thankfully all good now.

Edit in; It just came to me that I probably could have just renamed the F4se files to FOS and that would have worked.

Same here, except that when I booted up and Continued, a brand new game started and all my saves were gone!

Steam forums pointed me in the right direction - seems lots of people have the same problem after a Windows 10 update had apparently relocated them or something.

Found them after a .FOS search, copied them back to the F4SE folder and back to normal thank god. Hell of a shock to get though!

Wait a Minute, hang on, if what you are saying was the update, then that's what happened and here I was thinking it was the new controller. That was pure coincidental then as I just connected the new controller this morning before jumping on the game and I set the PC to update last night before going to bed.
