If you followed the tutorial on the wiki here, but there were steps that were unclear that would be helpful to know (so they can be improved for future lost readers).
I did not see any of the steps involved in attaching the custom legendary mod with name and the trait listings anywhere in the Wiki. If those steps are there and I simply missed them, I apologize, but I think it may be a whole step that is missing.
To my understanding, you shouldn't need to attach the custom legendary mod and trait listings - this menu shows up by SS2 by itself. Though this is one of the few tutorials I've actually not followed myself so I may be wrong. I think it should be as straightforward as
1) make a copy of the weapon template SS2_Template_LeaderCard and fill it in
2) make a copy of the formlist SS2_LeaderCards_AddonTemplate
3) drag your weapon leader cards into the formlist
4) Add your formlist to your MISC Addon Data - but that requires you to either have made this in the tutorial 01, or follow the link in the pink box between point 5 and 6 in the "Injecting your Leader cards" section.
If this doesn't work, you are right - there are parts missing in the tutorial (or at least they could be better explained for less frustration )
Did this not make the npcs you added cards for show up as possible city leaders? Are you making custom traits?
I'm making a custom leader and am having issues as well. I followed everything in the tutorial but he is still not registering as a leader. Can you share what it was you had to do to get it working? Thanks!
To get them to function as leaders I simply followed the tutorials. My issue was with getting the leader traits to display when selecting them. They should function perfectly if the tutorial is followed. That being said, give me some time and I can document my step-by-step process if you would like.
@LD50 You are right, there are steps missing in the tutorial - an OMOD (Object modification) listing the traits needs to be made and added to the leader card weapon form under the "Object Template" next to the Name (in a way that isn't straightforward). I'll make sure this gets added to the tutorial. Thanks for the heads up!
