Known Issues / Mod Conflicts - add Nuka World

Nuka World should be added to the official conflict list at the very top, especially since this is "official"

SS2 (and other settlement mods) will break the "Home Sweet Home" quest after the player has taken back all 5 park sections and raided / taken their first settlement
  • Raider flag at settlement cannot be blanted.
  • Sinner showing up to raid you (why I disabled SS2 to get this to trigger)
  • All Raider settlement related content probably
Workaround : This mod sidesteps the issue allowing you to fix the quest entirely while leaving Raider raiding and settling open. Have been able to progress and beat Nuka World, some Raider settlement items may still be locked until Shank is spoken to again? Will test in the next few days.

There is also the No Forced Hatred mod that disables Preston's global auto-hate. Helpful if you intend to keep pursuing the raider path in parallel https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/40784

@fathamburger
Thank you for reporting this to us.

Known issues is a page where we list other "mods" that not compatible, or are semi-compatible with Sim Settlements 2.

There shouldn't be issues with the game DLCs. The issue with Home Sweet Home has been previously reported, Last time I tested for this, I wasn't able to reproduce not being able to place the raider flag.
However, I'll add an issue for it, and some testing will be done to validate that it is SS2 causing problems.

Here's a link to the save to make it easier https://drive.google.com/file/d/11K-ggZpG4rrfq5q_7YN3CCELsxB_YvmW/view?usp=share_link . I saved it right in front of Shank right before triggering Home Sweet Home.

I noticed on the old thread about this you were trying to reproduce it vs placing the flag generally vs specifically placing it when asked for as part of the quest

Placing the flag isnt truly the main issue, its any quests that need to interact with any settlement as now they're not vanilla settlement types anymore, the quests just dont trigger (which includes Sinner). I dont know if this is an easy fix or not.

And yes, it should be on the Known Issues page, there are enough people getting tripped by this now.

If your save has multiple mods installed, it's pretty difficult to pin point where the issue with SS2 is impacting the game, though I appreciate the effort.
Maybe tell us how many mods you have installed in that game save?
Can you provide your load order plugins.txt (in a spoiler), so we can determine if the save file is viable to use to track down this down?

When I tested Sinner did show up in the settlement and I didn't encounter any issues talking with Shank, but I did not test further that the one settlement.
Testers use a min mod list when testing for issues, and try to replicate it, provide the steps for that and then provide a save file for dev team to investigate.
The issue I logged for this has the question about Known Issues.

It is usually kinggath or a staff member/dev team member that determines whether something needs to be published as a Known Issue.
Wiki Team just follows direction for that page.

I lean towards this being a mod conflict. I have played through the Nuka World quest line several times since SS2 was released without issue. I play with a fairly minimal load order.

So, given that we can play with just SS2 and min mods without issues, what is the mod conflict? "Some mods or load orders can cause issues with "Home Sweet Home", try these things?"

A note: Googling for Home Sweet Home bugs reveals that players have been encountering bugs with this quest since release without SS2.

I added a note to the issue noting that your save file has limited mods. :)

I honestly agree, and to me it's really simple... If I may add this...

A nail is a nail- and stands uncontested as just that... a nail. But can that nail hold together boards that forms a house? Is it then the house that fails, or the design of the nail? Together it should work.

This is deliberate at least until I finish the majority of the content mods I plan to get through :) The one conflict I had where I had two copies of the Twilight Radio and Mechabetty radio stations before I knew Old World Radio was a bundle has already been resolved but I think radio files are pure data anyway, nothing script related usually?

There is a mod on Nexus that skips setting up raider settlements in the commonwealth as part of the main NW quest but still unlocks everything. I haven't tested it with SS2, but it handily bypassed an apparently identical bug I was having in SS1. So there is[maybe] that option as a stopgap for people that just want the loot and unlocks
