Hello, using SS2, I have made Sanctuary as a commerce hub, my very own BarterTown. But for some reasons, none of my merchants has anything to sell (whether he is a bartender, an armor vendor etc.). Am I missing something? Thanks

Nothing at all? Or do they just have a 'vendor inventory' that is like nine .38 rounds?
If so, that is a bug I logged myself months ago and got told it had been fixed. I will have to run around and check all my own shops.

I use better settlers, so they always have a bit more inventory than vanilla. But whether their "surplus" comes from SS2 or Better Settlers, I dont know. Please let me know

The bug as I knew it was that they would offer THEIR inventory as if it were the shop's, which for vanilla settlers usually means half a clip of .38 rounds and maybe one stalk of razorgrain or corn. I am at work for another hour or so yet, I will post again when I get home to check.

Yeah it is still doing what I thought it was. But inconsistently, making it hard to find the root cause. Great.

It does happen sometimes, I had this weird issue in Far Harbor where I'd spawn a harborman to work as a merchant but they don't want to. Spawned a regular settler after that and they worked. Could be related to multiple assignments, idk. While all my other shops in the area worked fine (unique settler from SotC working a gen store, harbor people working furniture shop and pet store...)
Outside of very obvious problems of not talking to them during work hours, some uniques not having trade option at all like Tom Thorn (which is probably a bug) and possible script lag, not sure what this is all about.

Turn on shops auto restock.
Mod config -> Sim settlement 2 -> gameplay
Even with that set to On, this still happens sometimes for me. I believe probably related to the "someone else in the settlement 'stole' the vendor assignment" issue.

I think it may also have to do with production buildings if you don’t have the right industrial building item they don’t have anything to sell. I set up a furniture store and it didn’t have any inventory to sell until I setup the furniture making plot.
