Jake is a real enjoyable character, and his voice actor is top notch. At a certain point where you find some extra equipment in a sub basement, the joy of the scavver really shows through. Sadly my Charisma is too low and haven't yet been able to glean more info from the man, but he's a great character.

His initial schtick was kinda like watching an infomercial, which made it all that more hilarious, and I wondered when I'd have to buy into some sort of credit card scheme. "Order in the next ten minutes and you'll get two for the price of one!"

Oh yeah, Jake has now became one of my favourite NPCs of the game. Will make replaying the quest on a new playthrough still enjoyable.

that character is brilliant. superbly scripted, voice-acted, and his bespoke outfit is marvellous. nothing but absolute respect for the people behind bringing him to life.

I agree, Jake is absolutely top notch. The work on this entire mod is incredible but the voice acting on the custom NPCs is blowing me away.

jake is fun, he's basically the one good guy companion(hopefully) who isn't stiff or kinda a jerk. really refreshing to have an honest to goodness friendly guy to interact with

i'd like to ask the team behind the character - how much of kinggath is in jake?

i mean this, and ask this, in the kindest of ways. given that kinggath is the uber-tinkerer when it comes to mods and digging into the game engine and coming up with solutions to problems that even bethesda themselves didn't know existed, i see a whole chunk of his 'can do' mentality in jake, who is a guy who is doing his damndest to learn about an ancient, yet advanced technology using his wits, and no little self-taugh skills.

at first i thought jake was just some crazy weirdo but he's really starting to grow on me and i'm not even that far in the story. i sincerely hope he can become a romanceable companion he's one of my favorite NPCs i've ever come across, vanilla or modded

Gottta agree greatly written lines, given you've to fiddle around with pre-existing lines from the main character. Also i've got to say that was the most interesting "tutorial" story i've played that i remember.
