Ivy's Lair

Well, why didn't you, instead of putting them on blast here? It's really odd that it concerns you enough to post here, but doesn't concern you enough to reach out to the author and bring it to their attention.

For anyone that cares how this happens, and isn't a modder, and hasn't used the Nexus system, this is likely how it occurred. Given how extremely similar both addon names are, and the fact that when you start typing the requirements, Nexus will "helpfully" suggest what it thinks is the right one. The Naming Convention for most SS2 addons is <Mod Name> 2. So, seeing Wasteland Ventures 2 as the first choice looks correct. I can see exactly how the mistake happened. Luckily, if anyone had actually tried to install the wrong version, it would not actually load, because it would be missing SS1.
My initial question was just looking for clarification that the SS2 version was needed and not the SS1 version that was listed. Yes, my bad for seeing "If you do not download the Add-On Packs in Mod Requirements this city plan will NOT look like mine or function as intended." right on the plan's page and clicking each link to see that I had them all. My bad for clicking one that stated that it hadn't been updated since 2020 and requiring SS1

Maybe, just maybe, when I get a response of "Wasteland Venturers and Wasteland Venturers 2 are two separate add-ons that were made for SS1, back when it was known as Sim Settlements. The confusion was unavoidable when Sim Settlements 2 came out. The version for SS2 is called Wasteland Venturers Sim Settlements 2 Addon Pack:" when I stated that I knew which version was for which game, I get a bit *itchy

Or, maybe, the response you gave, from someone who is held in a much higher regard within the community than I am, is showing that this scene might not be for everyone <3 But sure, you do you

Sorry for getting your blood pressure up over this

And indeed, you received clarification of the correct mod name from another user. You even quoted it, when you chose to hammer on the point that there was a mistake in the links.

That's a creative reinterpretation of what you did. You ignored actual help, and put an author on blast - yet did absolutely nothing to actually report the documentation issue to the author. Of course I think you're not acting in good faith, and I know I am not the only one.

I've no patience or tolerance for what appears to be concern trolling. And if you don't like being called out on it, well, I'm sorry you feel that way. Perhaps you can try not doing it. That would be wonderful, thank you.

Yes, I get that. But go and click the Wasteland Venturers link in this city plan's requirements and watch it take you to the SS1 version. That is my question/concern
Well I will at least apologize for not understanding the context of the question.

I think its a good time to turn the focus back to what an incredible plan Vee made.
You're damn right, Chef!

Chronic pain is killer rn and I’ve basically been bedridden for the month. Thank you for pointing out the documentation error @JStacy337 . In the future, if something like this comes up, it’s better to contact the mod author directly instead of airing your “concern” in a public space and necroing an old thread.

I will fix the incorrect link as soon as I am able, but that may not be for a while as I’m limited to whatever I can do on mobile, not on PC.
