Come down and help my garden grow. My plants hunger...

Okay but what if Poison Ivy took over the Mechanist Lair...............?

I'll do more pictures later

Noteworthy Plots/Resources:

- Caravan (at LVL 1) and Communications (at LVL 2) plots for salvage beacon use in the region. Designer’s Choice plots uses VFX 1x1 Portable Caravan Plot, which allows 2 settlers to do salvage runs in the Eastern Commonwealth.

-Hospital at LVL 3.

-Clinic at LVL 2.

-Surgery Chair at LVL 1.

-Player bed, manual water pump, and adhesive crops for Survival Mode players.

-Harvestable Hubflower. With Designer’s Choice, it also has Harvestable Wild Mutfruit and more from WV’s Wild Forest Farm.

-Agility, Perception, and Intelligence Training

Built it yesterday while I was goofing around and it is stunning. Excellent work. I would've never imagined doing something like that in the Mechanist's Lair in a million years but it totally works.

tldr: Why is an SS1 add-on pack a requirement for an SS2 city plan?

Not sure if this will get seen or not, but on Nexus, under Requirements>Nexus Requirements, it lists an SS1 addon pack Wasteland Venturers 2. Aren't we always told not to mix packs from SS1 into SS2? Is this just a typo and it should have Wasteland Venturers (SS2) instead?

The link in the requirement section does take us to the SS1 pack, not the SS2 pack

Wasteland Venturers and Wasteland Venturers 2 are two separate add-ons that were made for SS1, back when it was known as Sim Settlements. The confusion was unavoidable when Sim Settlements 2 came out. The version for SS2 is called Wasteland Venturers Sim Settlements 2 Addon Pack:

Yes, I get that. But go and click the Wasteland Venturers link in this city plan's requirements and watch it take you to the SS1 version. That is my question/concern

I would say the mod author just made a mistake. Maybe a quick note to them and they could make the fix. :smile
Just wondering why/how no one has brought this to their attention yet, either here or on the Nexus page for it. It's a decent oversight if everyone else just ran with it without checking the requirements first

I clicked the wrong one when setting requirements on nexus, that’s why

“A decent oversight” given no one else has pointed it out it’s probably because no one else noticed it was the wrong version linked, recognized the name “Wasteland Venturers,” and recognized “that means SS2 Wasteland Venturers. Good thing I already have it installed because it’s a popular add-on!” Chill. I’ll fix it when I get the chance.

Probably as it is a popular add on, most folks already had it and didn't need to add. :grin

Well, why didn't you, instead of putting them on blast here? It's really odd that it concerns you enough to post here, but doesn't concern you enough to reach out to the author and bring it to their attention.

For anyone that cares how this happens, and isn't a modder, and hasn't used the Nexus system, this is likely how it occurred. Given how extremely similar both addon names are, and the fact that when you start typing the requirements, Nexus will "helpfully" suggest what it thinks is the right one. The Naming Convention for most SS2 addons is <Mod Name> 2. So, seeing Wasteland Ventures 2 as the first choice looks correct. I can see exactly how the mistake happened. Luckily, if anyone had actually tried to install the wrong version, it would not actually load, because it would be missing SS1.
