Not a bug Issue with Mama Murphy

I have run into an issue with this mod. Yesterday after starting a new game and getting Preston and the gang to Sanctuary, I laid out a bunch of farms and houses then went around to assign everyone. I noticed while doing this that Mama Murphy had become unassignable. I did have a few mods that were not sim settlement related like workshop rearranged, scrap that settlement etc. After extensive testing, deleting mods, clearing the cache, hard reset and even a complete uninstall and reinstall of the game, I have narrowed my issue down to this mod. After reinstalling the game this morning and only downloading sim settlements and add on packs, going through one by one and turning them on, I found that when I enable this mod and enter the game a couple things happen. 1) I get xp points when i log in the first time with this mod enabled. 2) Mama Murphy is unable to be assigned to anything. There is no options when I point to her in workshop mode. If I exit the game, disable the mod and return to the game she become available to assign to a house and work. I have recorded a video of this issue so that you can see exactly what happens for me. I have tried to upload it here but it says that the file is too large. Please let me know if you would like to view the video.

Same here. She just stands around and I can't assign her to anything.

AFAIK you have to finish some quests first. I'm not sure, but I guess it's the minutemen

No, the only quest you need to do to get Mama Murphy is the museum one, what ever it is called. Once she gets to sanctuary she is like any regular settler that you can command to farm, scavenge or whatever. You just cant move her to another settlement.

Isn't it you have first to build "her" chair, and then after that doing one minutemen-quest?

She may become non-assignable like Sturges. On PC, a similar fix to solve the problem with Sturges can be used on her: Use console command "setpv bcommandable 1" on her, fast travel far away and after a while go back to Sanctuary. The "Command" option should be available on her after that in Workshop Mode. [verified]

Not my bug, its a fallout issue and related to the chair.

Up until last week, she used to just auto assign herself to a house, the only ones I couldn't assign to a house right after the museum mission was Preston (has to be a companion first). I am going to try again today since I just redid all my saves and mod downloads if that doesn't work Ill try Settlement manager software on Xbox and see if that works

Yeah, Im sorry for the issue you're having but aside from the vips i add to homes. My homes have no scripting and every stage has a bed so the settler will be assigned to them if they can be. If they arnt then its an issue in the game or the core mod SS. Highly doubt an issue in the core mod at this point. This is also an issue vanilla players have.

gotcha. btw is there any way we can get a place for those pesky kids to stay?

not in my addons lol. I have kids IRL, they can take a hike in game. My settlers use the pill

You only have to build her chair if she asks for it after you give her jet. She usually auto assigns herself to something if there is something available for her to do. Like MadHatter Mike posted the only one you cant assign is Preston cause you need to do his minutemen mission first (either tenpines bluff or oberland) i think its called the First Step or something like that. Mama Murphy will remain completely commandable if you refuse her drugs by persuading her to quit or threatening her into quitting, and there is no need to build her chair.

OK, so I am beginning to think it has to do with a mod that some of us downloaded to cause Mama Murphy to not be commandable. Back to the drawing board, because even Settlement Manager Software won't let you command her either. this crap is pissing me off, first plots get all screwey, now mama Murphy won't listen to a damn thing

man just give that old bat laced chems with abraxo and end it
