I moved a plot between levels

I know I read somewhere to never move plots between levels. But I did it on my level 2 build from a plot that I had since foundation. I am building up from 0-3 instead of build level 3 then subtract method.
I have moved a plot from its original position that I had set at Level 0, Now at level 2 I have accidentally moved it but I want it to stay in its new position.
Can I use the getpos and setpos commands to place the level 0 and level 1 plot at the same spot as the level 2. Using the pole as`
Will that alleviate the plot moving issue?
Or should I abandon my rebel build style of "0 and up" to "regression" and call it a lesson learned.

Bonus Question:
I had a plot that I decided to upgrade to a better plot after Level 1 So on the Level 2 build and changed the Building plan of the plot. That won't cause an issue will it?

I'm doing the same for my master's entry. Makes you really consider what you want to do.

From memory, KG told me that plots become "disconnected" from the city plan, once placed, so don't move them. I would revert to a save from before the move.

You can go back to the earlier save, and change the plan right ?

Its so much easier to tell a story going up than going down.

I don't want to change the earlier plan.
The first plan is a power station that goes from 4-16 power and the replacement plot starts at 25 and goes to 75. I want it to look like the plot upgraded to a more efficient power production. I never moved that plot, just changed it to a different industrial plot.

Reverting to a previous save I would lose all the work I have done on level 1 and level 2.
Not a pleasant option at all.

My understanding is that when you change the plot choice, it's considered as completely NEW plot by the city plan code, so it will spawn the new plot, over the old one. Hence my suggestion to go back to and older save, and change it there - so it has "always" been the new plot before export.

Plot choice did not change, only the building plan changed.

So good news, manually moving a plot using the console commands setpos X, Y, and Z to match the new position on two different plots appeared to work just fine all of my tests.
I moved both the plot and the sensor console, then re-plopped the plot with all snap values set to off. In the future I may just change the values in the .json/log file to match the new location.

I ended up going back and setting the power plot to the new one instead of changing the plan.
