HUD Vanished

I finally figured out how to use the layers tool # after several months, and all was OK.

I decided to move the HUD because it was always in my way so I moved it all the way to the right side, slightly smaller and sitting just underneath my Holotime2 widget.

It looked great but at some point it just vanished and I can't get it back. I tried several settings in MCM, the reset position feature (which didn't seem to do anything at all), uninstalling Holotime2, Workshop Framework, Workshop+ and even MCM - it's still not showing up!!

I also searched for any settings or config files but couldn't find anything relevent.

Please help.

OK, seems I f̶i̶x̶e̶d̶ ̶i̶t̶ found a workaround.

To make a long story short - downgrade to v103, load and save the game, upgrade to v104 and DON'T EVER MOVE THE HUD :).

I downgraded to version 103, ran the game and the HUD re-appeared in Sanctuary. Ran to Red Rocket and the HUD vanished as I crossed the Cell border and only re-appeared once I added a new layer. Same thing with Tenpines and Zimonja.

When I fast travelled to Starlight I wasn't able to add a new layer or switch layers! "Oh no, not again!" I thought - but turns out the game was busy doing it's "turn everything purple" thing, and once it finished I was then able to add a new layer and switch as normal. Did the same for a few more settlements.

I then re-upgraded to version 104 and that's when the problems returned. I noticed that it always kept the maximum number of layers I added in a settlement (Sanctuary) when I went to a new settlement. IE, at Red Rocket it displayed D-0-1-2 even though there was only the default layer present. It stayed that way when I added subsequent layers. It was working properly apart from that and I could switch between layers.

Then came the real problem - I tried again to change the HUD position and as I entered workshop mode it suddenly moved downward to about half my screen height (I'm using 1920x1080 mode, the max of my laptop), as if another invisible HUD applet was in it's intended space or something. It vanished again after exiting workshop mode and I was unable to retrieve it.

I then changed back to version 103 and the HUD returned.

I left the HUD at it's default location and re-upgraded to version 104 and all is now OK - as long as I can put up with the wrong layer count and don't ever try to move the HUD!

OK, found another bug in v104 - the blueprint controller never allows me to select anything other than the default layer - went back to v103 and all works perfectly.
