How can I save "Nancy" the Brahmin, if she is "kidnapped" in radiant quest?

Title. You know the vanilla settlement radiant quest "Kidnapped", right?
Well, this time, the hostage is Nancy the Brahmin from SS2, and since I cannot interact with brahmin, I cannot rescue her.

Do you have any idea about proceeding the quest from here? I would heartily appreciate for your opinion.

Are you sure Nancy is from SS2? I don't remember a Nancy the Brahmin.

I also did some research by myself and...according to the wiki, this can happen to many different kind of NPC, vanilla ones included, such as mirelurk in the Markwater Construction Site.

So...this may not be anything SS2 specific at all. Still, if there is any advice I would very much appreciate. However, maybe I should revert my save a bit...

I'd be worried about losing my... our Nessie because of this quest.
So yeah, rolling back to a save before the radiant quest starts would be the best opttion.
