Helter Skelter is Invincible

Unrelated to SS2, but I'm just posting here to satisfy my curiosity/irritation.

As the title says. The raider boss in Malden Centre cannot be killed by mine hand or any other, regardless of whether I shoot him, melee him, grenade him, or attempt to use console commands on him.

Apparently, this is a bug that can occur. In all my time of playing, this is the first time I've ever come across this. Loading outside of Malden Centre and entering again has done nothing. Helter Skelter remains all-powerful.

Any suggestions?

Just checking ol' Helter through the console, and this caught my eye:

isInvulnerable: true

...why would that be? Could a mod author have flagged him as such for a quest later? To clarify, I'm trying to kill him as part of a bounty for JR in Diamond City.
