Glare on the ASAM display

When I ask for the info from an ASAM (instead of activating it), there is a weird glare (like a light reflection) off the screen right where it tells me the name of the plot, making it very hard to read. It happens no matter what time of day or night and I don't have a pipboy light on. Is this common, or just happening to me?

Sounds like a "you" thing. Could you post a pic?

Also, do you use enb or lighting mods?

I do use an ENB. I think it is called Subtle ENB. I have some mods that modify lights themselves and a lighting mod that only effects interiors.
Here's the pic. This shot was taken during the day, but it is the same at night. It's like there is a light shining on it that is getting reflected.
Now that I look carefully, the same reflected light can be seen on other items I inspect from my inventory.
I'll try disabling the ENB and see what happens (once I work out how).
Edit : disabling all effects on my ENB didn't seem to make any difference.

I do not have a "glare" effect like that in my game. I would suspect you have a mod that causes that to happen. Most likely something that changes reflections.

Thanks DarkStar, I've turned Lens Flare off in my settings, but I still have the glare. I've tried turning it off on my ENB, but I'm not sure if I'm doing it right. Here is a screen shot of fallout 4 options and my ENB settings in game. Any suggestions you have would be most appreciated.

Easy test... Start another game with nothing but SS2 and it's requirements. If the glare is still present, it's SS2 related. if not, then start adding a mod at a time and checking to see which one the glare shows up after.

I have the same issue always had it. And Yes.. even when it was ONLY SS2 installed way back in ch 1. The difference is my glare covers the 1st half of the screen, making it very very useless. No setting seems to affect it. Considering I have an ultra wide screen, it maybe something with that?? what was your screens res? Mine is 5120x1440.

I wonder if the power of Todd is causing the character lighting to be reflected strangely. :scratchhead
Try entering the console command cl off and then check the ASAM.
cl on will put the setting back to default.

Note: The console command parameters are case sensitive so enter them all lower case.
