Game Freeze when building over Interior Plots?

I've started getting crashes--freezes, rather--in a new Sanctuary build. I don't think it's related to the crashes KG is looking into with the test crash patch because I haven't had any issues building generators (though they are Homemaker mod generators, not one of the default ones. Dunno if that matters) and I don't have any TVs in the settlement that I know of.

The issue I'm running into:

I'm using interior residential plots to make an apartment complex. I can put down the first level with no problems, but as soon as I start building over the interior plots the game freezes. It's not an immediate CTD (i.e., you're playing the game and then suddenly the game goes away and there's your desktop, smirking at you) but an actual game freeze, followed by a Windows 10 popup saying "hi, your only option is to kill this process. Would you like to do that? (No, I want to stare at a frozen game/OK)"

I seem to be able to semi-reliably trigger this when I try to build over an interior plot. I can eventually finish the build (like I say, semi-consistently) and then if I walk away and never touch it again it seems fine. I don't know if the fact that it's a freeze vs a CTD means anything.

Also, there are interior plots that get built over that don't seem to have any issues at all. The ones that I put in the pre-existing Sanctuary houses work just fine, and I've taken inspiration from the Sanctuary blueprint from Rise of Commonwealth and stacked a lot off stuff on top of a few of those houses.

So... no idea what's causing the freeze. Thought it was worth mentioning though.

Strange. Even if plots poke into each other, or other stuff, the game normally doesn't CTD because of that.
If you could possible identify which plot designs give you problems, and how low you can "lower the ceiling on them", it would be really helpful for debugging.

So unfortunately after reporting the problem I haven't been able to reproduce it once. Figures. :)

I'm not sure what the issue was, and if I can trigger it again I'll update the thread. As it stands, though, I can't provide more detail because my game is whistling innocently, claiming it has no idea what I'm talking about.

I blame Sheogorath.

So it goes... The game is just trying to make you feel like you've gone entirely insane. That's normal FO4 behavior.
