Great mod, btw. Got turned on to it a few months ago by Immersive Gameplay mod; and more recently by BiRaitBec's load order project. Have used it extensively without issue.

Tonight, within fifteen minutes of play during the opening Railroad quest with Deacon, during firing upon targets game crashed with getting a popup from Salvage Beacons mod: "You can only place one salvage beacon per container."
First time was while engaging a behemoth in Lexington from Ricky Dalton's overpass location; second inside the Switchboard. Both times only required alt-ctrl-del to stop Fo4.

Freeze happened again within 2 mins of reloading after last crash, inside Switchboard. Am using none of "problem mods" listed in FAQ. Have Sim Settlements installed (ironically, never had this problem without S.S.).
Will deactivate mod until a solution is found, as it makes game unplayable.

Tried an experiment before disabling mod: returned to Ricky D's, slept 2x 24 hours (to let my salvage teams return), then returned to Switchboard--but same freeze happened in next firefight. Bummer.

SB with 300,000 downloads and 10,000 endorsements, maybe? Still, SB is about as well vetted as a mod can get. Modding a game like FO4 will always yield issues for the user to figure out - specific to their own game and install.

With mods, it is often who is conflicting with who. It's a 4 ways intersection with no stop signs. If SB conflicts with Mod-X or Mod-X conflicts with SB the fact remains "it is your conflict" and either you ID both and make a patch, change your load order priority, return to save before installing, or disable mods as you have done. They are all appropriate and all good choices. If it glitches with just the vanilla game then about all you can do is what you have done "disable" if that prevents the freeze.

What often happens with mod conflicts is we identify the symptom and overlook the disease in the diagnosis.

Who knows what has caused it at this point, but you do have a glitch. I would roll back my save to a point before dropping the last salvage beacon and see what happens then.
