Hi all!
For too long settlements in our world have enjoying ''fuel-free" generators.....how about making generators require fuel to constantly chug along and provide power to all??? Maybe have a "bio-diesel" industrial plant to produce fuel for the settlement???

Used to have a solar panel...don't know what happened to it! Yes, I think any other means of fuel can make it more "immersive" ?

This exists already
Mod ID: 14193

I'm not sure if it will be compatible. Also maybe you meant something more integrated into SS itself such as a workshop mechanic with it's own HUD bar and everything?

Yup....! Something that can be activated in the dynamic needs menu for the more realism seeking player. Maybe a bit too realistic?

Careful now, I don't want to be absorbed by my monitor! I'm sort of new to modding so I think its a bit out of my scope but I'll feel around to see how someone might put something like this together

Sure it is not for everyone, but a suggestion none the less! There is some hard-core players out there, maybe I am just so used to blackouts and the high cost of fuel down here is South-Africa!

Howzit! Not wanting to saddle a dead horse, but finally a few ideas came to me while charging my phone.....
1) Using the useless windturbines in a windfarm aspect to charge the "makeshift battery", which to me up till now, was just a source of scrap.
2) Settlements near a flowing river can have a waterwheel...wouldn't sanctuary look quaint with a spinning waterwheel?
3) How many times have anyone really used a switched powersource to conserver power? Now settlers can start to "save" power by switching off lights during daytime, or face a proposed tax penalty?
4) A settlement darkened out exept for security lights an searchlights should be a lesser visible target than a brightly lit area like Diamond city?
Hope I made some sense and didn't ramble too much.
