Old Post Force Plot Placement CTD

So I finally created a new Sanctuary Blueprint, and wanted to test if all the plots were selected correctly in designer's choice. I used cpmanager placeplots to force the "hidden" plots to display, after it worked for a while, the game froze and crashed to desktop. I've managed to do this more than once, and the command never did that to me before, so I thought I'd mention it.

Maybe I just need to reduce the # of threads or something? I'm at default settings for performance issues.

OK, I *think* it has something to do with the build cap. I noticed that Sanctuary's build bar was yellow and at 100% so I increased it to 25% over, and then when I ran the command it started populating all the plots correctly.

So... will that be an issue when settlers start coming in? Will someone using my plot have to manually increase the build level to 25%+ after running the blueprint? When I switch it to leveled (which is my ultimate plan) will they need to do it for each level?

Yes, they have to increase the build limit each time, or change the setting allow Sim Settlements to ignore the build limit.

The game engine is very delicate, and pushing past the limit is almost guaranteed to cause crashing for some players, so this lets them avoid that. They need to explicitly tell Sim Settlements they understand the risks, because I don't want people freaking out if their settlements become completely unusable.

This way they've been given every warning and opportunity to back up their save files.

Gotcha. This is the first time I've run into this, but the last time I worked on the settlement was a few updates ago.
