Don't forget to update your City Plan Contest mod! https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/34303

Settlement Options

-Hangman's Alley
-Jamaica Plain

Prizes

T-shirts for top 3 and gog/steam games to the winner!

New for February! Blueray, DVD, and Boxed set prizes will be added into the pool, the more people competing the more of these we'll give away each month until we run out of gear!

For future contests, I've also opened up the possibility of people donating directly to the prize pool, so we can continue to offer more interesting things to you folks for all of your effort.

Special Requirements

Each round, we'll have some requirements of your City Plan. Sometimes it will be specific items, special rules, or even themes, see below for current special requirements.

- Must have at least 10 plots. They can be any combination of types and classes.
- Must support at least 11 settlers, but no more than 15. That means a job and bed for each settler (from plots or otherwise)
- **Survive the Horde** - Tell the tale with your design of how your settlers survived the raider hordes of Conqueror! Did they hunker down and build fortifications? Did they offer all of the back-alley services the raiders love? Did the simply throw up the white flag and become enslaved?
- Keep within double the build limit. To get approximately that amount on your build limit meter, use the City Manager holotape to reset the build limit, and then use the increase build limit tool within it 3 times. All of these options can be found under Tools > Configuration Tools.

General Requirements

The following requirements will likely apply to every month's contest.

- Must have a Recruitment Beacon in each level.
- Must have a City Planner's Desk in each level.
- Can only use items from the base game, Sim Settlements, or those unlocked by the Project Blueprint mod from the City Planner's Toolkit.

Pick your settlement from the list above and GO GO GO!

I like the double build limit! I've been working within that for the last couple, and it definitely impacts the little touches to a degree. Becomes a challenge figuring out where each piece would have the highest impact .

Uituit's boxcar and other small plots would be great for these small spaces (especially) Hangman's. But I guess it wouldn't be a good idea to rely on players having the right addon and be using designers choice. Plots sticking out of walls, overlapping each other, could get messy :P

yeah its gonna be tight:) but looking forward to what you all come up with

So, important question - is that double the build limit supposed to incorporate all of the elements that plots spawn in as well? Asking because I had room left at 125% of the build limit before building all of my plots up to level 3. After hitting that point and using the Recalculate option in the holotape, I was apparently 180% over the default build limit.

yes plots wud be included in the build limit

If you disable all of the performance settings and refresh your plots, it will reduce a lot of the stuff attributing to the build limit. We assume that most players who have low end systems will disable the performance options and won't have those items showing.

Thank you for the excellent point! Unfortunately, that only saved me 1%. I still need to revisit several elements of the design, starting with my plot selection.

How do you get the precise %'s for build usage? I'm not sure I trust the bar.

If you're over your current build limit and over what increasing by 25% will increase it to, selecting to increase it will tell you your current percentage and ask if you want to increase it by just 25% or to 25% over your current usage (and tell you what that new limit would be).

Thanks, I'd forgotten it did that, thought I might have missed a report option somewhere.
