I just got gigabit cable Internet a week or two ago, and it's been a blast. I downloaded an 8GB game on Steam in a couple minutes. However, when I go to update Sim Settlements 2... apparently, my previous 25MBit DSL was more than NexusMods could support.
I know most sites aren't gonna give me the full connection I have with my ISP. They could probably give more bandwidth, but there's probably an advantage to keeping users connected longer.
For at least the 1.9GB main file, maybe we could do torrents or something? I have about 30MBit up (it varies), and I'd be willing to seed. I'm sure others would, too.
Honestly NexusMods is fine for smaller mods, but as games get bigger and mods get bigger along with them, the site is going to be more and more cumbersome to use. And they're talking about bundling mods and such? They're getting a bit ahead of themselves.
Just a little rant as I wait for the mod to get its update.
