[CH2] Commonwealth Rising & Remote Management

Having a problem with Commonwealth Rising and specifically, I think, where it interacts with Remote Management.

I can return to HQ and complete Remote Management but then Commonwealth Rising never completes. It doesnt matter if I fast travel or wait elsewhere.
Looking in my quest log once the completion message pops up Remote Management isn't there in the completed quests section (at the bottom of the log) and the objective Return to HQ from Commonwealth Rising is marked as complete but not the preceeding Help Lupe and Jake complete her memory lounger idea.

The end result being that I can't "Check out what's going on in the Comm Array Room" because there is only ever Jake or Lupe in there and no Department Head anywhere in HQ will initiate conversation. Just silence. I think they're all supposed to be in the Comm Room but trying to manually move them all is like herding cats.

I remember when CH2 came out that Commonwealth Rising was always a bit sticky and there are other posts dealing with this quest but they all seem to be much earlier when we're building up the power and recruits.

Anyone got a fix?

loos like CR and RM quest have the same objective i guess - to return to HQ is that correct?

if so I think CR is trying to complete first since its a main quest but is conflicting with RM cut scene

do you have a save where you didnt do the last bit of CR quest - Start Comm Array Upgrade Project from Engineering Department in Command Mode
if so complete RM first before starting comm array upgrade

My thoughts exactly.

I don't think I do. It was a long time waiting for Lupe to take the chair back. :(

It's been a long lasting and well documented issue, though I think it was supposed to be resolved in hotfix F. But, there was a lot of tinkering around Commonwealth Rising to fix other issues so something could be broken again. (I can't help but remember Jake's own words - I can't believe this is happening! Everything was going so well!!)
Did everyone here fully update everything?

Just checked on the latest update 3.0.0i on the All-in-one pack and 2.3.8 in Workshop Framework.
I have a save before I sit in the chair (I always quicksave before as that transition is where I had problems in previous playthroughs).

I'm already in HQ by that point so Return to HQ from Commonwealth Rising is already completed but Jake & Lupe are by the chair for Remote Management. I think by this point the error has already happened.

The save before that is several hours earlier but might not have a choice but to roll back.

My thoughts exactly.

if you dont have a sav then I would suggest using the ss2 holo tape and under tools - cheat - skip quest
this will auto complete the quest
I like to do it while in the comm room

I am experiencing this same issue in a different way.

I had already completed Remote Management quite a bit before starting the final Comm Array Upgrade Project. In point of fact, it had been several days before I was even able to assign staff to it since I had a few other projects I wanted done first. Most of them were just admin/deco projects, though, so I doubt any of it did anything to affect either quest.

However, the way I am experiencing this issue is that RM has been long since completed, which means almost nobody is in the Comm Array room. What do I mean by almost? Well, everyone's just milling about, going about whatever Let's Pretend business NPCs do when there're about 57 or so of them in the building. Folks (including, but not limited to Jake, Lupe, Aiden, random workers, etc.) will randomly activate whatever objects are in the room to use before moving to some other room during their sandbox routine. Of course, Jake will not talk to me - or anyone, for that matter; he's become the very soul of silence as he stands/sits around drinking from an empty mugga. There is no "this person is busy" message, and most other SS2 Main NPCs will just have idle chatter (the "How's things?" and "What you wanna do?" list of questions, etc.). But beyond that, nothing doing.

I have waited, slept, and done other quests. It has been several in-game weeks, now. Stuck quest is stuck.

I wouldn't care but for that I really wanted to see that cutscene in my own game, not just on a GoogTube video. For now, I'm just going to set a save aside as a rollback point in case there's a fix, and just use the same Skip Quest cheat that thenewking mentions.

Edit: No idea what CC2 is, but I meant SS2. What a strange typo.

what objective are you on now
waiting for Jake to call you?

Nope. This is after the radio call. Like I said, the same exact issue (as in, stuck on "Check out what's going on in the Comm Array Room" objective as described by OP) but with a different set of symptoms.

I was never stuck on the radio call. That happened right after I fast traveled to a settlement.

I'm in the same boat, I got the call for Comm Array but when I got there I got the chat that started Remote Management, so I completed that and now I have Jake and Lupe just sandboxing in the Comm Array Room, unresponsive. I'm on 3.0o.

im stuck on the radio call ive traveled several times to other settlements waited, i had rolled back to a save where i never took the quest with lupe because it was causing problems at the same time, is there commands for proggression on the radio call?

Same issue here - Commonwealth Rising wants me to "Check the Comm Room" and "Wait for the Memory Lounger project to complete", there even is a quest marker visible intermittently in the Comm Room.
The Remote Management quest did start just when Commonwealth Rising wanted me to check on the Comm Room, but then proceeded fine (as far as I can see).

Looks like I'll have to use the holotape cheat to skip the final cutscene?

Also having this issue, seems to be caused by not visiting Lupe immediately after she gets the memory lounger set up. The quest will still auto-progress to the big scene at HQ, but when you get to HQ it sets up for the Lupe scene instead.

Remote Management would not progress. After reading the forums I waited for a couple of play sessions after which it completed ok.

Commonwealth Rising then would not start so I waited again but no luck this time only Jake and Lupe in the Comms Room. Once again turned to the forums and read if I typed in "startscene XX023E82" (xx being the Mod Index as listed on Vortex Plugins Page) that the Dept. Heads would gather and Dialogue begin. This worked a treat (I had to leave and reenter the room).

My play through is mature in that I have most settlements fully developed with at least 20 settlers, 27 in HQ, and the game is a little laggy with scripts on building plots taking a long time to fire. This leads me to think the issue with these two quests might be lag related (too many scripts).

I have not posted looking for a solution as it eventually all worked, just sharing info. Great Mod by the way really enjoying it.

Remote management, I ctd when sitting down in the Memory chair. "When Lupe state what does this red light mean ...I CTD" I been reading the forums trying find way around this. Setstage or complete quest seem to just leave it. Jake keeps asking me to sit in the chair even if the quest in complete. I enjoy all this mod, but this is starting to get on my nerves. I am wondering if I just need to load it back before you get the Chair in HQ.
