How long does it take for caravan services to be added to a settlement once you have that plot set up?
 
That really depends on when the scripts catch up. I recommend dipping into your Pip-boy menu and browsing a bit while everything in the background finalizes and everything is resolved to the current point. Once the script denoting that the Caravan Services is built and properly manned, it should easily have all the new caravan-related connections pop up in the HUD.
 
It's taking way too long for the connections to show up. Obeland Station has had a caravan station for days and it still isn't in the network.
 
Okay so is there a range limit between caravans and how go we know what it is? Without the connections, its screwing up my settlement plans , increased with the problem that new settlers are not coming into the affected settlements. Which means I don't have anyone to do farming or industrial. I was counting on the caravans (which is what they are there for!)
 
Unfortunately I don't have enough settlers to make them self-sufficient at this time. I always used to work with the more prosperous settlements helping out with the new ones until they became self-sufficient. Which, you know, makes sense!
 
If there is a distance factor, why even bother with a caravan, since I have no idea when a settlement will be able to even use a caravan? I was hoping to avoid using both a caravan and a logistic station but it looks like I'm going to have to.
 
Yeah I know but I need to get supplies to the smaller settlements. As I said, for some reason those settlements are not getting settlers and I have none to space and 2 people can only do so much.
 
Obeland isn''t hooking up so I'm assuming that there is another settlement I have to acquire before it will. I just have no idea what that settlement may be. Graygarden maybe?
 
I have farm settlements and industrial settlements however for the most part all my settlements are mostly self sufficient in food and water just in case anything like the power bug (Which happens a lot) makes a caravan plot drop off the network.
