Can salvage beacons be used in interiors? I have placed a salvage beacon in an interior and it has been weeks in games if not months and I have never received my salvage.

I have placed a salvage beacon inside an interior that was added by a mod (Lexington Interiors) many times and I have not had a problem with it. Have you gone back to that container and seen if it is still there?

Yeah, they work everywhere I've tried. I keep intending to just test one in a corpse, just to see, but haven't.

I think a corpse would be dangerous, since they eventually disappear, unlike containers.

Honestly I do not remember where it was placed, but I do remember putting a postman bag and a outfit inside to see if it ever arrived and it has not, nor has the beacon. This would go to my workshop correct?

Unless you said it was for the settlers to use, yes, it goes into the workshop.

If it hasn't been delivered, there will be a quest marker for it you can enable. Check your quest log for Active Salvage Beacons (I believe its a Miscellaneous objective).

There was no quest listed for it. So perhaps I placed the beacon wrong or it just never got delivered?

Either you placed the beacon wrong or it was already delivered. Once a beacon is active in the world, a quest is started to track it.

No, the delivery can't lose items. I spent a LOT of time making sure of that. Best guess is that it ended up at a different settlement then you recall selecting. Or - it could be a mod conflict - if another mod accidentally included one of my old scripts or replaced an important vanilla script, things could definitely go south.

Next time you use a beacon, make sure the quest objective shows up. Once that happens all of your items are essentially moved to secure storage that the game isn't allowed to touch, then a timer starts and moves the items to the selected workbench at the end of the timer.
