Wish there were a way to set aside some of build budget for customization. Early on it’s easy enough to add stuff but as the settlement build advances there’s no more budget left. I don’t want to add a ton... just a vendor stall/shed or something like that. Recalculate build space and set aside 10% (or whatever) for customization.
 
Increasing the budget yourself and adding a plot or 2 won't make that much of a difference overall. So go right ahead.

Add by yourself? Missing how to make this happen (aside from a mod that expands the space)... using the weapon re-storage glitch had zero impact (eg dropping and storing dozens of weapons at Crossing after upgrade didn’t move the build limit bar at all)

In the City manger Holotape: Tools > Configuration Tools > Build Limit - Increase max.
Now just because you got extra build budget doesn't mean you have to fill it up. The more you add the more you will take a performance hit.

Thx! Of course. One of the ‘downsides’ of SS is that config options are so immense
