Fixed Art Studio... and Armor?

Maybe not a bug at all, but a secret feature? The settlers put in charge of the interior art studio plot are also offering to sell armor when I speak to them.

Or maybe the whole thing is a super meta performance art piece commenting on the proliferation of PA paint jobs in the Creation Club? :agree:

I wish I had thought of it as a meta performance ;)

But this is most likely a hiccup in the game. I have checked the building plan for Abbot’s Art studio thoroughly, and it has no idles or anything else marking it for a vendor. Are they selling regular armor or power armor? Could you try to change Abbot’s to Kinggath’s interior recreational and see if they stop? And then change back to Abbot’s and see if they stop? Also, could you try and build a few more and see if it’s repeatable? This helps me figure out if I should send this bug report on to Kinggath to check the assignment code.

Also, could you try and build a few more and see if it’s repeatable?

The settler running the Art Studio I built also offers to barter for armor. Regular armors like just like an armor stand.

Thanks for reporting! Can you also switch Abbot's to Rec Room and see what happens? In my game the settler attached to Rec Room also vends armor, so I wanted to check if this happens to all interior recreationals or if it's just in my game (before digging deeper).

And maybe for testing purposes build another recreational, first as Rec Room and then as Abbot's and see what happens in each case?

There really is nothing in Abbot's building plan that relates to armor vending so this baffles me. Do either of you have other addons with interior recreationals? If so, can you test if they sell armor or not? (I'll test as well)

I have the same thing, the recreational plot settler assigned to it sells armor.

Can you test this? In my game the settler assigned to Kinggaths Rec Room also sells armor.

And maybe for testing purposes build another recreational, first as Rec Room and then as Abbot's and see what happens in each case?

So to start: Art Studio plot (lvl2) settler is selling armor. I switch the plot to KG's rec room and the settler no longer sells armor. Switch it back to Art Studio and the settler still doesn't sell armor.

Then I build a new Art studio. Settler assigned does not sell armor. I scrap this plot, and then build a Rec Room. Settler assigned does not sell armor. Switch it over to an Art Studio and the settler still doesn't sell armor.

Trekked over to sunshine where I already had built a rec room: that settler doesn't sell armor.

@bullyrook Thank you so much for the extensive testing! Exactly what I needed :)

Then I don't think the bug is related specifically to Abbot's Art Studio (since the plot doesn't always behave like this). As we are several players experiencing the bug, I'll try to figure out a way to repeat it and take it up with Kinggath to see if there's something that can be done to fix it.

I tested and it is only abbot art studio (rank 2 and rank3 tested) that sells armor, rec studio does not sell armor for me in any settlement, I have 2 settlements I been in so far that had both types of recreational plots.
It could maybe be random though if you had rec studio settling armor aswell. I haven't really talked that much with the settlers in charge of the recreational plots before today and I have only looked at 4-5 plots total so far.

@drizzan Thanks! I only tested level 1, I'll try again with level 2 and 3 and see if I can figure out why it's happening.

Ok cool, I gonna keep talking with them in my other settlements when I visit them aswell and check.
It's not a huge bug or anything since they just share inventory with the normal armor vendor in the settlement I assume.

This is a bug with Abbot's Art Studio level2 and level3, and I've fixed it for our next update (it was a funky idle after all). But since it's not game breaking, I'll wait a bit with updating (until we maybe also have some new plots for you guys).

Big thanks to all three of you who took the time to report the bug and help me figure it out! :)

Yeah no point really just to update for this since it doesn't actually break anything it just adds an extra vendor temporarily. =)
