Anyone else still having issues of Settlers not going to Commercial plots or having proper inventory?

Trying to find out if this is only me, or is this a global issue.

Could it be a Better Settlers mod? Though technically its just a cosmetic mod.
 
When you say not having proper inventory, do you mean the issue that they only offer their personal inventory (say, their handful of .38 rounds and whatever food they had on them) instead of the shop's?
I HAD been inconsistently having similar problems myself. I'm not 100% certain, but I think the fixes that went in with version 1.0.9 (went live a couple hours ago) seem to have mostly fixed it, although some of those fixes might be of the type that only actually work on a fresh save, so it'll need more testing.

Yes, like That Old Man and the Bar.
He says his Bar Dialog just fine as he walks around the settlement
but
1. He is never at the bar ( though other NPCs go there and sit there
2. He never sells anything besides his inventory.

Well if someone can confirm 1.09 fixes wandering NPCs and Commercial plots I would restart.
Or if its a conflict with Better Settlers i can just remove that mod.

Just to be clear it isn't just SS2 settlers, even Generic Settlers have issues going to SS2 properties.
In some cases SS2 settlers go to completely wrong properties.
Like I assigned Padawan to Farming and he constantly stands at the security building.

But Generic settlers don't seem to have any issue with Vanilla buildings like Trade Vendor shop from vanilla game.
 
It does seem that 1.0.9 at least made them go to their job instead of wandering around randomly. The "store inventory" thing appears to be a completely different problem, and I can confirm that does still happen with both 'generic settlers' and the 'Unique' ones, but I'm still not able to offer any solutions to it unfortunately.

Thanks, maybe Kinggath will fix it next week, so I will just hold off until then.
 
I have the same issue.General store and armory merchants have only few items what they have in theirs normal inventory to sell.
It occurred once but it may be a clue: Building plan - Caps general (internal general store) , generic settler merchant was standing on the left side in his pose, and I clicked to trade with him , he had all items as usual to offer , I thought it finally fixed itself, but no, I walked away few steps and merchant moved to the right, Came back to trade with him and all the goods what he had just seconds ago wasn't available. Traders dialog option still was there.
 
I couldn't even find how this is happening. I haven't seemed to of had this problem often. At least not that I've see. Maybe I am not using the offending plots. While I do have to chase my vendors around the settlement when I find them, Only a few times I get wrong dialog. Mainly doctor dialog from non doctors. And this seems to happen on multi-assignable non vendor plots only. Like some martial plots from Addons so that could be a feature not a bug in my case.

In 1.0.9, Julie finally works as a doctor, Franklin just standing on the plot and not coming inside his shop. Katie is still slacking.
My current save is a mess, tho. Will restart when i have time.

I think I might have figured something out, but I need to check with others who have run into this issue.
Before the plot was built, did you have the "Shops auto-restock" setting on, or off?
 
Dangit, I was certain I'd figured it out (I always set that "Shops Auto-restock" to OFF myself) but I guess not. More testing it is.
 
I have Immersive Vendors mod, incase anyone else is using it and having issues

 
I also have better settlers and all patches for the other mods I use with it. And if there is an immersive settlers I probably have that. Sorry I don't have access to my PC to be sure.
