Any "Hub of a Problem" bug workaround yet?

Is there any solid workaround yet for the "Hub of a Problem" bug where Jake ends up staying outside instead of coming into the Vault-Tec building? I tried to clear out the building but it seems the ghoul that spawns with the keycard won't spawn unless Jake is there so I can't take the elevator to the lower level to try and make him spawn that way.

If you are entering through the basement, Jake will remain outside. At least, the last time I did a playthrough of the questline, he didn't come in through the basement. Going back outside and going through the main entrance didn't fix it either. I had to reload from a save, which thankfully was at the ampitheatre.

It was fixed in Version 1.01A look in the news and patches section fo the forum for the download link.

You other option is to use the moveto console command and engage the ghouls after.

Newly registered member here, i've been having issues with Hub of the Problem so I hope we've found a work around. I did post this in the new 1.0.1a thread, so if its not allowed or already solved (which I don't think it is) please let me know.

I was hoping the patch would fix issues with the Hub of the Problem quest, but I guess it did not. I've progressed to the sub-basement after moving the floor mats and pushing the red button. Once down the hatch, Jake won't move or interact with terminals. When using the "moveto" command he does indeed move, but doesn't interact. Additionally when speaking to him, his dialogue stops, as if waiting for the player to select a dialogue option, which instead leaves me without the option to continue. Anyone else experience these issue?

1. Use the ASAM Printer
2. Get the holotape in the open safe.
3. Power up the console.
4. Get the schematics off the desk.

Try it in that order.

The problem isn't which order its performed in, its that Jakes gives me the endless dialogue thing. Can't finish his conversation to pick up the holotape etc.

I can’t get Jake to enter the building. He just walks around out side. I go all through and clear the ghouls and find the terminal. But he never enters to continue. Before I downloaded the patch I was past this point but had to restart.

Same problem!

Ok this is what I did here is my complete walkthrough for hub of the problem quest.

Listen to the radio, hey come to the amphitheatre, you travel to Jake.

Talk and move over to the vault tech building. Outside of the main door the front door the only door you should be entering through. Save.

Enter inside and walk-in and chill close-ish to the reception counter next to the lift as jake does his thing, if he talks and walks over to the computer things so far are looking good, if he goes and sits down and talks at you. bummer load up save and try again.

Once Jake goes to the computer a ghoul will come out leave jake to kill them he has a very nice gun let the man kill some things while you chill.

Then you go and find the other pc, jake walks up to it and does his thing, go kill the named ghoul for the swipe card.

New Save

Down the lift, you go, walk out, and let Jake talk about the Robco boxes etc and then explore and kill. DO NOT USE THE LOCKED DOOR.

Clear the mats and hit the switch and down to the sub-basement you go.

Listen to jake once again and let him do his thing, once he has stopped walk up to the switch on the printer the big machine in the room, jake does his thing.
Once done go into the room with the safes there will be a holotape, Jake again does his thing.

Walk into the other room and power up the console and click on it, Jake once again.

Finally, after all that walk over to the desk and tell jake about the schematics.

Song and dance about finding much more then what was expected. Quest completed.

Hope this helps as I too had issues with this quest and did it 4 times to get this walkthrough.
I also decided that I would loot nothing till the quest was complete in the subbasement not sure if that helped or not just figured would not risk it.

I finally got Jake to entry the building but it took multiple attempts he kept walking back to the cult theater I had to clear them out. After that he finally entered the building

I like where you went with that.

Did you let him finish his dialogue upstairs in the basement or jump into the sub basement right away?
He won't inspect the open safe in the upper basement. He actually won't move from the elevator, even with the moveto command. Additionally he will not walk or use the terminals in the sub basement. Same goes for finishing his conversation. To be specific, his dialogue stops after hitting the ASAM printer button. He says "let me check on something" then does not go to a terminal. This is where the endless dialogue bug starts

This is the same issue I have. He says his dialog about the ASAM printer, and then does nothing. If I go into the room with the other equipment and press the button on that machine, then it resets his dialog back to the beginning of the discovery of the printer. I can take any action, like leaving the cell and going back in, and it just resets him back to discovering the printer. He won't move to the keyboard or say anything beyond "let me check on something".
I updated to the latest version of SS2 to see if that had any effect, and then restarted the quest from the theater, but I keep getting the same thing. I've spent way too many hours trying to get past this one quest.

I have. I followed the steps one at a time, but he won't go any further than repeating those lines over again. I also made sure to dismiss any companions before starting that quest with no change.
