Alternative plans for ROTC

Any chance you could work on a settlement with the Powell family setup ready to go, as well as Franklin and his shop?
Most plans don't allow for them to be added unless its built from scratch without a plan. I end up trying Taffington Boathouse.

I'll look into that. I didn't know there was a Powell house until someone mentioned it on the forum. They said it was included in some addon pack. Do you know which one? I've done the Powell quest and there was no mention of a house. Only moving them to a settlement.
edit: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/48060
Powell house is in that mod. I can build a settlement with that house in it. Did you have a settlement preference? Also you would need that mod installed.
Still looking for Franklin's shop. Anyone know if that's in an addon pack.

I had a quick look at my SS2 Addons and on say anything about Franklin and his shop, but I have it, maybe it's in Wasteland Venturers but not listed?
As for a preference if you have not done Taffington Boathouse that would be great as its out of teh way and should not play up with other settlements.

Commercial:Other, 2x2, unlocks when you give Franklin the "I've got a place you could set up shop permanently" line at that point in that quest.
Is there a way I can unlock those two plots without doing quest line? I tried to unlock using the cheat in the city halo tape, but it didn't work.

I would've thought doing the "unlock EVERYTHING" cheat would do the trick. When I've tried that one in the past though it does take a few minutes before it actually does them all.

I probably didn't wait long enough. Will try again in a while. Thank you all for help.

three more plans
Spectacle Island, Hangman’s alley, and Warwick’s homestead
:agree:

Thank you for doing this! I just went through SS2 chapters 1 & 2 to get a feel for it and see what was involved. I have the ROTC plans for Sanctuary and Abernathy (among others), but they're so difficult with my old computer (no dedicated GPU - ugh!). So when I saw these and saw that they were made by you I grabbed them all last night, to plan a new playthough. Thanks for taking the time to give your thoughts on my other thread (even if I couldn't get Buffout to work).

And I didn't mind your lengthy description in the slightest. What bugs me is when someone puts one sentence in the description and I have to figure it out. The tips you include are much appreciated. Sim Settlements is one of those things that give tools to express creativity. So often I'm given those tools and then.....writer's block. I appreciate that city plans get be over the block and inspire me to think about what I can do with the tools.

Thank you for your kinds words. This is what keeps me going.
Post your problems over on the buffout link. I'm sure they will help. I'm betting it's one small thing overlooked.
I understand what you mean about incomplete discriptions / instructions. They understand it and assume everyone does. Or, and more likely, don't want to take the time to make complete instructions. Not that mine are comprehensive by any means. But, hopefully better than none.

Just wanted to thank you for these, they're fantastic and functional with some really clever design choices! I love the ROTC plots for the looks and exploration experience, but unfortunately they don't seem to be entirely operational after the latest SS2 releases. The detailed description you provided is excellent and solid advice for anyone starting out with Sim Settlements 2 for the first time.
