Ok, ok, I guess I've been posting like crazy over the last few days but I'm building up a load order for my next playthrough which will be heavy on the sim-settlements side.
Anyway, do/can settlers have affinities?
With mods that add settlers who have genuine personalities and voiced, as well as mods like "what's your name?" that make it so they're not all called "settler," I really end up paying attention to individual settlers.
With factions being involved in Conqueror, and religious conversion mentioned a few times, it got me wondering if settlers have moral affinities/likes/dislikes like the companions. If they don't, can potentially they have them?
Ultimately we sort of forget sometimes that (most) of these people are/were Americans. History is often misunderstood by Fallout peoples, but not completely forgotten. So... they'd know about Democracy in some form. It might be interesting to include the potential for voting on some issues. Letting settlers have a say could be a nuisance to a leader, but maybe add a happiness bonus.
Voting and local laws and a criminal justice system and political/moral affinities -- these are things that a pre-war lawyer would almost certainly be interested in creating, for those of us roleplaying that sort of character. If it could be implemented, would people be interested?
