One flaw I noticed in Sim Settlements is the HUD sometimes doesn't register a settler as homeless - they don't show up as red even though they don't occupy a bed.
Hunting down the transient culprit gets tedious going plot-to-plot to "Find Owner" and remember who lives where. I took a break and looked outside, seeing my neighborhood laid out before me.
I realized what's missing in my settlements: Addresses. They build elaborate homes, shops and industrial enterprises that, under the right circumstances, can advance into providing nuclear energy. They have mailboxes, but they don't have an address system, which could help coordinate a more accurate census.
I realize this is probably less of an issue for those who enjoy Rise of the Commonwealth or who auto-assign settlers. I like to manually assign settlers as I plan out each community. I had some fun using marquees and neon numbers to come up with street names or small neighborhood locations to keep track of who lives where and make sure everyone who joins a settlement has a home to call their own.

Homes at 1 and 3 Bluto Blvd. at Taffington Boathouse
I had fun coming up with names for places. But placing multiple marquees, letters and neon numbers sucks up power and settlement space. The space isn't an issue for most settlements, but they can add up.
I realized, though, an address and/or street-naming system might be a cool addition for a future update to SimSettlements. I have no idea how you would implement the idea, but I wanted to share anyway in case it seemed intriguing.
