Old Post Ability to generate faction-specific pre-build settlements

During set up, it would be interesting if you could select 'settlement' factions. Each faction selected would get portion of the settlements (allocation being user designated or randomized), and those settlements would be inhabited with the respective faction's NPCs*. A nuanced extension would be faction specific city plans.

* - For instance, you select Gunners and give them Murkwater, Jamaica Plain, Somerville; the BoS - Country Crossing, Oberland Station; CoA - Coastal Cottage, Kingsport Lighthouse; Trappers - Tenpines Bluff, Outpost Zimonja; Super Mutants - Taffington, Greentop... or, just select the factions and let the RNG handle assignments.

I want to subscribe to your newsletter. I think it would be awesome to have Raiders take on full-blown Minutemen for example. Where the Minutemen never lost their prominence and The Castle is a fortress.
Vice Versa would be just as spectacular. To be the Minutemen and rather than each settlement being empty or populated with 2 or 3 people, they're huge and enslaved or vassals. It would bring a whole new perspective on a settlement needing your help.

Agree. It's the gameplay I've hoped for (dreamed of) since release.

A variation of the same: surface Institute settlements with courser guards and special civilians [human captives (for replication/replacement) and synth recaptures] vs BoS and/or RR. Since the settlements can grow, the longer you wait to challenge, the more difficult the settlement is to capture/liberate.

New kid on the block version: yes, eventually you have to pick a side (RR,BoS, MM, Institute) to resolve the game, but creating your own faction (with own flag, clothing/weapon preference, etc) and being independent in all other respects would be sublime.

Its in the works ;)

I would like to see the subdivisions for Martial and recreational plots supported on the interior plots also. I want to place them in Vault 88. I know I can do it without the interior versions, but my plan is that Vault 88 will become the capital of the commonwealth and thus will be a very juicy target.

This what it looks like if I try to build them inside a vault. It eats up a lot of space to build. As a capital I envision this being a vault in as true a form as I can get it with a Fallout theme that is. I plan on the out lying branches have most of my industrial and advanced industrial buildings. The interior will be residential, recreational and commercial plots.
