Altairp's Animal Farm - Welcome

Cow got killed. Does it respawn? Been waiting days.

Animals don't respawn, no - I still have to implement the respawn script. I suggest you hit the plot with the BB hammer and see if that brings your cow back.

Apologises for the horrible radio silence, also. I've been quite busy these days, but I'm going to start working on the next udpate again tomorrow.

That's not this mod, Rebelous Molerats are from Bad Neighbors Molerat Farm (the big dirt mound farm)

Correct. Before the ArchT, this farm would spawn and be too late to prevent the mole rat invasion. every 5 minutes and mountains of dead bodies. Even after I scrapped it, molerats still spawning. truly a bad neighbor!

Just FYI, Jose just uploaded a new all-in-one version of his various add-ons with some new stuff and he has the molerat respawning issue listed as one of the fixes:

Thanks! I saw that in another thread. Tracked till I can get online to download.

Love Jose's work. Will always follow.

I'm pretty sure it tastes like chicken.

You know that in some places KFC stands for Kentucky Fried Cat right? LOL.

So I added the mod finally and built the brahmin farm. Stupid question, but is there only supposed to be one animal per plot? Reason I ask is that there is another brahmin wandering around the settlement. I'm thinking it's one that spawns in from the outside, then stays for the food & water.

Yes, there's supposed to be one brahmin each plot.

Did you, by any chance, also used the brahmin bathtub that usually spawns a cow? If not, I probably used the wrong feeding through for the plot; I'll have to check.

I do have that mod installed, but I didn't put a feeder station into Sunshine. The only way I knew it was there is that I found it trying to squeeze itself through the door of an herb farm. BTW, if you haven't guessed, I am having a ball with the farming. I live in the Commonwealth IRL, so the region is very familiar to me. When I was a little kid, my aunt lived right next door to a small livestock farm. At one point they had pigs, goats, 6 dairy cows and a good sized chicken coop. I remember going to get a half dozen eggs so she could make breakfast... the stuff was still warm off the nest. If you need ideas, don't hesitate to ask.

Just fyi, you don't have to put a bathtub down to get a brahmin

No idea, then. If Brahmins can spawn randomly even without bathtubs, then your wandering cow is most likely a guest from the outside.

Is there ant plans for this awesome mod coming to the xbox

Xbox will get this add-on after I roll the next update. Which should be soon-ish. I'm horribly behind my own deadlines (busy times) but I should be able to roll the new buildings sometimes this week (and then figure out how to push the mod on the console).

Thats awesome I can\t wait to try this on xbox. Now just need trailer park dreams, the deffence one to port over and we have most of them on console

Can xbox even handle having all of the add-ons or are you just looking at having variety of options?

It can I think, I'm using about 60-70% of my mod space on SS and unless these are massive addons I can def add a couple more if I get rid of some other mods

AH, I was just curious as I don't really know how big all the add-ons are, but I know mine is like 200 MB, so I was thinking all of the SS content would come pretty close to filling up the xbox limit

There is a few that isn't available and some that I don't have, but options are def good, I enjoy playing with the addons and finding which works best with my play through

Probably related to the frequently psychotic AI in my games but my beach settlement ended up with 9 cows in it before I even put a trough down. I ended up throwing up a barnlike building with troughs inside it so they stay out of people's houses at least.

I put the barn next to the spawn point so hopefully sooner or later raiders will cull the herd a little.

Yeah, that's weird, the vanilla settler recruitment should cap you out at 1 brahmin (wasteland cages can get you more, or buying them from that travelling guy)
