Troubleshooting

Missing mod files when using NMM

Sometimes, depending on your local configuration and/or version of Nexus Mod Manager, you may run into an issue where activating a large mod (like Sim Settlements) does not extract the .ba2 files correctly. Running Nexus Mod Manager as an Administrator seems to work around the problem. Here are some potential solutions to the problem:

  • Ensure your Virtual Install folder is on the same drive letter as your Fallout 4 installation.
  • Ensure your Nexus Mod Manager is updated to the latest version.
  • Downgrade to version 0.61.21 which does not use virtual folders.
  • Continue to run Nexus Mod Manager as an Administrator (not recommended).
