Awesome work bro!
Question: In the notification area, it says "New Patrol …. " what's that about?
John
It’s SKK’s Settlement Attack System
“Replace the irritating base game settlement attacks with a properly configurable combat attack system based on SKK combat stalkers spawning technology and user experience. Now with optional Vertibird combat and settlement patrols.”

I don’t want to spoil it for anyone but it definitely spices things up.
Early game and no Brotherhood yet, and getting attacked by Raiders in vertabirds is kind of cool.
The settlement patrols are more more like local settlement security for that settlement and its local supply route.
It goes really well with:

Do you also use Combat Stalkers? I do and it spices up things as well... I will have to read up on it to see about the local supply route. I also use You and What Army? adds MM patrols in between settlements once you complete the 1st step.
John
I have used “you and what army” I really like it and would recommend it also.
As much as I like a lot of NPC’s I had to cut back a little so that one is installed just not activated or enabled.
Hey, don't forget Recruitable settlers, Settlers of the Commonwealth, NPC Travel... the Commonwealth gets full quickly - and from Recruitable, I think, you get that synth settler at your new Sanctuary.. .hahaha.
skk50's combat mods are amazing. they're essential in my load order and thanks to them, i could get a chaotic world but importantly - a stable chaotic world.
if you want to really test yourself put the settlement attack system on the highest/lowest setting so that you are constantly under seige. i did this at red rocket - i had a stack of gunners, fought them off, then vertibirds, fought them off - combat stalkers turned up - then a whole stack of supermutants.
absolutely wrecked the place.
they are really well developed (think Kinggath quality) and the guy himself is witty, seriously clever and very, very good at taking feedback and implementing things.
i had a comedy moment with combat stalkers when two legendary deathclaws spawned in diamond city. the guards all stood there and didnt engage as i ran around the market place trying to kill the deathclaws without aggroing the guards. i hacked percy from diamond city surplus, but he lasted all of 5 seconds, then i hacked takahashi the noodlebot - he was under a canopy and could shoot the claws. piper got mauled and was out for the count, so it was a bit of a comedy chase, going round in circles until i got the claws down.
once the claws were dead the guards sprung to life and decided that random chickens and rabbits were now potential enemies and went around killing them all. not sure what triggered the guards to take out the rabbits and the chickens but it was a comedy 10 minutes.
love skk50's mods.

they all ... erm ... died...
some random sniper took them all out with explosive ammo soon after dropping off a deathclaw egg....its a crime scene now, bodies and limbs and a couple of heads everywhere.
wellingham is okay though, so there's that.
But damn, those rabbits really seem to piss off the NPC's...
