Sim Settlements City Plans - Taffington Boathouse Inn by Yagisan

Taffington Boathouse Inn is Yagisan's entry into the Aug 2019 City Plan design competition. Taffington Boathouse Inn is a commercial and recreation centre. Ideally located for traveller's crossing The Commonwealth, it also boasts a working industrial sized water purifier, with a large storage tank. Includes a small player home. Supports 15 settlers.

Settlement: Taffington Boathouse
Requires Version 4.1.1 or Greater of Sim Settlements 3-In-1

Levels: 3
Balanced: Yes
Max Settlers: 15
Player Home: Yes
File Type: ESL

Required DLC
None

Yagisan's Standard Designer's Choice Mods
Designer's Choice Mods are additional Sim Settlements plots that are used in most City Plans. To ensure the city plan looks as intended, you should have them installed.
Missing mods will result in random plots taking the place of chosen plots. This may result in settlements not matching their themes.
Sim Settlements - IDEK's Logistics Station (ESL Version)
Sim Settlements - Mega Pack - Year One
Sim Settlements - Flotsam and Jetsam
Sim Settlements - Wasteland Venturers 2 (All-In-One)
Sim Settlements - Industrial City
Sim Settlements - Vault-Tec Tools
Sim Settlements - CaptainLaserBeam's Jampads

Below you can see an aerial shot of the entire settlement at Level 3.

Another aerial shot, looking across the entrance, towards downtown Boston.

The industrial water purifier in all its glory.

The wharf, and party bus. (Seriously folks - things like this is why I say turn on designer's choice.)

ScreenShot124.jpg

The rear of the Inn, staff quarters, and the player house.

The front of the Inn, the bar, and greenhouse.

ScreenShot126.jpg

The Inn gift shop, and room 5.

Upstairs, and we can see rooms 1 and 4. (Not shown rooms 2 and 3).

An interior shot of the staff quarters.

An aerial shot of the entire settlement at Level 0. What a difference!

The L3 save game is here until the end of the contest. As usual, all the saves and exports are in my GitHub.

As is usual, for my 15 settler settlements, progression is 6/4/3/2, and the Logistics Station is on level 1.

If using a leader that spawns their own guards, the patrol starts near the Tucker Memorial Bridge, heads up the road through the settlement, makes it way over to the front of Medford Memorial Hospital, makes it way along the canal, through the park, and then through the bushland next to the settlement, on the way towards the abandoned house near the Tucker Memorial Bridge, before looping.

There is a Brotherhood Vertibird landing spot in a clearing near the main gate.

Love it. Cant understand why anyone wouldn't use designers choice in a city plan. (Unless its an oversight, like I did a few times. (Doh!)). UitUit's stuff looks amazing from the screen shots.

Yeah, this was actually a good site to use a lot of the Floatsam and Jetsam plots. Kinda wish he had a few more smaller boats, but well, those things are huge. I rather like his pre-raiderised plots a lot.

The Inn room plots are all from Vault-Tec tools. (Not Mega Pack 2 - I can't get the furniture to work in that.) The rest are a good mix of SS, WV2, MP1, and IC plots.

One thing that's different from usual, is that I put a mix of beds and residential plots in, and tried to use some of the leveled shops from Project Blueprint. The General Store and Doctor are both from Project Blueprint, so hopefully they work as intended. The General store threw off the work object count, so I had to count them by hand.

Excellent. (And muy rapidimente!)

I really like the way the original structures form the core of the plan, and inspire a very natural-feeling orderliness.

I really like it, but I do have to ask...
Did you expand the settlement border, because for me it ends just outside the boathouse on the border to the road down to the water.

No, I didn't extend the border, but I *did* turn off the workshop timeout (F5 with place anywhere) to build decorations outside of the build area. Settlers will never cross the borders, but leader patrols will.

i knew you could move outside the border, had no idea you could build outside of it as well? Interesting.

You have to build items inside, then select them and move them out to place them. It can be rather tedious, but nevertheless rewarding.

The Copy function in W+ helps, too.

Love this one!
