First of all, love the mod and the options it gives. Good stuff as with all your mods and thank you for it.

I introduced wsfw and Conqueror to a heavily modded game a week or so back and immediately settlement happiness became a problem. Happiness goes up when I am present in a settlement and down when I am not present, leading to general social breakdown

I did a reinstall of Fallout and played with wsfw, mcm, and ss 3 in one, and am now playing with f4se, the latest mcm, and Wsfw 1.1.4.a only and I am still facing this problem. 4 settlers in Sanctuary with all needs met, but happiness sinks three or four points every day I am not present.

Google tells me in the past this was an issue with some users, but seems to have been fixed, so perhaps I am doing something wrong.

Oh, for me it seems kind of normal, at one point or another in a game. Near any play through.

If it is the same thing I just make my rounds and they seem to stay fixed.

Thanks Raybo, I've had the same happen many times as well, but this is to an extreme extent. I can't get happiness high enough for even basic agricultural plots to upgrade, let alone the advanced industrial stuff. Sim settlements thus becomes unusable, and it's for me the most indispensable mod.

Ok, Try moving WSFW either above or below the sim settlement mod.

I have WSFW below for a couple of playthroughs now and it is fine, but for others it isn’t and they seem to have better luck having it above the SS base mod?

Introducing them into a heavy modded play through mid game isn’t what I would have recommended.

The other option is save them for the next go around and roll back a week.

Or even just ........ :crazy you know what I would say. To get the most out of conqueror it is best to start it with a fresh game. Particularly a heavily modded one with established settlements:cray

Thanks again. And you aren't wrong about introducing complex mods to rickety barely balanced builds.

I usually get these things working just by fiddling with them. Right now wsfw 1.1.4a is not working on a fresh game as my only mod, well along with f4se and mcm. I'm hoping I'm just making a bonehead error that someone will catch.
