The past couple of days I'm having problems with things being purple. A lot of things. Doors, plywood, boards, etc. They are purple for a second then are okay. Is it okay to use them?
I'm trying to make a junk-looking walkway. What can I use? I've tried and tried, can't find anything.

Re your first question: that sounds like the visual effect I often see with Workshop Plus, when duplicating an existing item, or creating a new item on a non-default level. In that mod, I think the effect is just a visual notification and doesn't have any lasting effects or problems. Maybe the effect you are seeing in WRK is related to that.

Re your second question: there is the rickety-looking Shack Bridge in Structures/Wood/Miscellaneous, but it's not very well shaped for making long walkways. If you have the Contraptions Workshop DLC, you could also try the items in Structures/Scaffolding to make a walkway using snappable, navmeshed parts, with a temporary, jury-rigged look. If you're open to adding mods, try out Snappy Housekit, which has some great sidewalks and footpaths in its Landscaping menu.

As snarkhunter states, the few seconds purple glow is most likely to be the WS+ placed item glow. This is automatically displayed when placed on non-default layers - and there is an MCM option to do the same for the default layer also.

You can also find a Structures > Build Kits > Scaffolding area in the WRK.

If you want them to be wood, also try standard balcony pieces and try using tge Structures > Wood > Supports section in the WRK. They also have snaps that should work reasonably well for you - let us know if there are issues.

Thank you both for your replies. That was it, I forgot I wasn't on the default layer.
Is there a way to merge layers all to the default layer?

Not at the computer right now. What you can do is delete the current layer and tell it to move the items on the layer to another.

like anything, make sure you have a couple of saves first!
