Question Workshop Framework Script Override needs updating to 2.3.9

The current latest version of the Workshop Framework Script Override on Nexus is 2.3.6b. If you use that in conjunction with the current WSFW 2.3.9, then presumably you're overwriting the WSFW scripts with an obsolete version. And if you disable the Override, and you have some other mod which alters the workshop scripts, then said mod overwrites the WSFW scripts. So you're stuck.

Can we please get an update to the WSFW Override script to 2.3.9?

Normally when there is an issue like this(two frame work mods) there are many posters. I am not saying you are not right but maybe the problem is not what you think and the problem lies in the mod that you are overwriting, that overwrote WSFW scripts in the first place. Simple test would be for the user with the crash at least would be to move the Override mod to the top of the LO and see if it still crashes. Then you move it down 10 slots and rinse and repeat until things start to crash then make only one move at a time until you identify the mod overwriting WSFW scripts in the first place.
Even if there are no crashes doing the same and looking for the window that says the scripts have been overwritten will still help you find the mod overwriting the WSFW scripts.
These MAs are pretty smart I doubt they would make that simple mistake, but there was a Patch update too and maybe something has slipped in or was overlooked.
None the less adding as much info to your bug report as you can would more than likely help resolve the issue. No one even knows your LO or for that matter if you are using the patch or if it is in the correct place in the LO.

well I moved the override mod to the top of my LO, got a CTD still while it was up there.
might as well attach my LO in this reply.

The override mod should be one of the last mods in your load order (it is the very last mod in mine). Also, HUD Framework should load before SS2. You might review the Installation Guide and Known Issues pages of the wiki, it looks like you might have a few mods that aren't going to work well with SS2.

I only know the real name of mods not the file names, but I did see one I recognized. Clean & Smooth - Commonwealth Collection.esp=1
Since there are two series of of settlement mods with near the same name I just want to make sure this is the Xbox mod.
The series made by Okie? You can't use those mods they are all bombs. Items are deleted and the mod was not cleaned and corrected with FO4Edit. They deposit so many items in the center cell that the game crashes. In case you don't know where the center cell is. The center cell has special properties and all items without proper addresses spawn there.

Most items just fall through repeatedly but some stick if there is enough friction.

Then there is the whole breaking precombine issue which is complicated by using a mod that adds primary layers, like WSFW. The game engine gets confused and does not know what to use and where to place things.

Even though the plants are placed in the primary layer, it drops the animation mat in the broken precom layer ignoring the the primary layer completely. My guess is you have some serious settler pathing issues also.

tried what you said, still getting a CTD and this is after I disabled all the problem mods and moving the override mod to the bottom of the list and setting HUD Framework above SS2.

I disabled this mod for SS2. the override mod keeps giving me a CTD everytime I'm on the main menu.

Regarding the Workshop Framework Override, I can confirm that I have it installed and active, and do not experience any CTD's in the main menu or in game play as a result of it. If you are getting CTD's with it active, and not when it is disabled, something in your load order is almost certainly conflicting with it, but I don't know all of the mods in your load order, so I don't know what might be causing it. In particular, I'm not sure why you would be getting crashes in the main menu, not many mods should be active at that point.

To confirm, you mention disabling mods - I am hoping that when you do that you are starting a new playthrough, or at least rolling back to a save before those mods were added? FO4 breaks if you try to play a save without mods that were once part of that save. You probably know that, no offence intended; as I said, I just want to confirm.

I recommend installing Buffout 4 and the Crash Log Scanner next. Once you get them working, Buffout 4 will help reduce crashes, and generate logs to help you identify what is causing the crashes you still get. The Scanner will help you interpret the logs.

You also might try posting in the SS2 Questions and Help forum, since it gets a bit more traffic, and someone there might recognize an issue in your load order that I am missing.

I'll give Buffout 4 and the Crash Log Scanner a go. also I did post my load order in a post above. I can repost it here.

I apologize, I need to find a better way to say that - I saw the load order you posted previously, but I have not used many of the mods that you are using, so I can't say what might be causing any conflicts.

okay I got the log from Buffout 4 and translated it with Crash Log Scanner. I'll C&P it over at the forum you suggested.

I am getting the same warning that workshop framework has conflict when I launch the game. I get no crash log. Buffout 4 finds no logs and I've tried everything I can think of to strip out mods that are not directly related to SS2. I've forced the script override to the last in load order. I've refreshed the content and reinstalled. Maybe others are just ignoring the error and continuing but I'm not going to do that. I'll wait and see if an update to override script helps, should one appear. Very frustrating, especially to those of us who are not advanced modders who understand all the intricacies.
