After the fun I had with County Crossing, I decided to try my hand at more atrium stacking, to create a massive, interior-space city.

None of the interior spaces are done yet, but here are some shots of the Vault-Tec construction...

The skeleton takes shape. Atrium atop atrium. ↑

From another angle ↑ (and True Storms is photobombing me)

From the opposite side. From this angle you can see the fundamental architecture. At the center there are four stories of atrium doorways (two pieces), and three stories of atrium windows.

More progress,I now have the other end in place.

Added the atrium corners. The full length of the interior structure is locked down.

The rain stopped! And now you can get a feel for just how much interior space I'll have to play with. Will that lighthouse residence fit? It just might!

You can almost FEEL the late afternoon sun baking the poor photographer. Also, that telephone pole is actually in the way, preventing me from running the exterior mezzanine all the way around that corner of the building.

Oh well.

Lots of interior space. LOTS AND LOTS.

And lots. And lots and lots and lots.

Hey, you know what will fit between the tall atrium pieces? Warehouse half-height window walls! I had to drop a floor to trick the first one into snapping, but the result is gonna be pretty cool.

Window-wall complete. Also, I've put the reactor inside, and mounted some utility passages with an exterior power outlet. Still no SS interior spaces, though. I PROMISE I WILL GET TO THAT.

NOTE: I replaced a bunch of the Vault-Tec supports with concrete foundations for two reasons:
1) Rendering a bunch of X-shapes criss-crossing while I sprint across the landscape to help defend the settlement is a recipe for frame-drop, or outright CDT.
2) There's room under the west half for some interior plots, and that means from basement to attic, this monstrosity is NINE STORIES TALL. I even dropped a stairwell from the interior.

ALSO NOTE: The plan for the interior plots is for them to be built against interior walls, not against the outer hull. Window-walls can't have power outlets, so the interior walls will also serve to deliver power.

more to come later. I need to get some actual work done now.

Beginning to lay out the interior plots. One commercial, one recreational, right in the center at the lowest floor.

And in the basement, my 1st settler, farming away like a champ.

That last picture gives you a sense of scale.

Stage one of "central park" is in place. Had to rotate it a couple of times to keep the tree from colliding with the atrium, though.

At the tippy-top of the atrium I resorted to warehouse pieces. Much easier to snap. Dunno what's going to go up there.

(Yes, that picture is taken from the sixth floor, looking up. This place is now officially big enough for me to get lost in it.)

Obviously I can't let an NPC manage this place. This corner of the above-ground Vault-scraper is for me.

The ground floor is starting to look more and more like a bunch of wastelanders moved into an abandoned, above-ground Vault-Tec project.

Mad props to Utuit, whose "Raider High-Rise" is the perfect capstone for this monstrosity.

The resident? Marcy Long, whose hatred for all raiders everywhere has led her to become what she has beheld. At least a little.

At this point the Nuka-Rocket Vaultscraper project is basically done. Plots are laid, settlers will do their things.

Mad props to the plot designers. Thank you!
