So I've been tinkering with my mod list order on Xbox One. Got the game to start working earlier and tried to add Vivid weathers and Place anywhere. Now the save won't load. Deleted failed mods and still can't get the game to boot.

Need advice with mentioned mods, or at the very least to get the game running again.

Advice?

how old is the save ? also you are on xbox so adding mods to a save and removing them requires a hard restart of the xbox and 3rd your on xbox so adding mods to a save probably isn't a good idea.

next question is what does your mod list look like cause ss2 will not play well with other script heavy mods on xbox and what is your load order, im guessing you have a few mods conflicting or are just piling mods on top of each other without doing any load ordering.

also place anywhere does not conflict with ss2 ive been using it since ss1 before conquer came out it is pretty much used for making every city plan from ss1.

post up mod list and load order ill try and take a look when i can but im guessing some others will help as well with it.

So I got it all running actually last night.. But now I'm having a strange workbench glitch happen. Basically my workbench doesn't have any other menu besides search and it brings up my inventory and my workshop tabs at the same time. Will this cause issues?

Also for context I'm not piling mods on, everything is organized. I have a few texture packs, a few crafting menu extenders, and it is a fresh game. I've also added a few new guns, armors, and one power armor. A few very small quest mods that haven't affected scripts. Place anywhere and full dialogue are the one's breaking my workbench I believe.

The workbench issue is a place anything hot key issue if I remember right there should be a workaround but I forgot what it was. Pretty sure if you do a search on the forms here it’s listed. As for the guns and armor they will normally add level list scripting but that’s pretty light weight.
honestly I’d say it’s your load order maybe ss2 requires wsfw and hud framework loaded as the first 3 under unofficial patch so like this
unofficial patch
Hud framework
workshop framework
ss2

only exception to this is if you use awkcr that need to go right below unofficial patch. As for texture mods and crafting mods I’d say load the crafting stuff then load the texture stuff right below it then load the weapons and armor mods directly below that followed by anything that affects npc or settlers then any mods that affect locations then any scrapping mods then patches for stuff.

quest mods can be tricky it depends on if they are adding places or just quests that use stock locations. if they don’t add any of their own locations you can load them up top by the texture mods if they add locations I’d load them down near the bottom with location change mods.

anything that changes precombines needs to be one of the last mods in the load order like immersive cleaning for settlements it has rebuilt precombines for settlements that makes them cleaner. Honestly load ordering mods is a headache cause everybody gives different advice but just read up on it or post your load order and somebody can normally give some advice.

It's a UI conflict with Place Anywhere. To fix, open up the Place Anywhere settings menu (located as a 'stealth boy' in the the AID section of the Pip-Boy, or if it's not there, you can craft it in a Chemistry Workbench under Utility) and set the Options Menu Button to Off.

An important note: Make sure you're not loading mods all at once (even on new games). Try to add a few at a time and hard reset/clear the cache (which one you do depends on what type of mods are being added) after every batch installed. Best of luck and I hope you're enjoying the mod!
