Where there is Smoke - Dialog constantly stopping - Multiple Bugs

In the Quest Where there is Smoke - when you need to investigate the 3 sites of the gunner and finally talk to Aiden, for past 3 days I have been unable to beat this quest because the Dialog constantly stops in between.

There seems to be a Hard Lock after the Dialog
Aiden: So Settlement attack is your fault [ Camera permanently locks on him ]
Jake: You better watch what you say, mister
No more Dialog, just Hard Locked Camera,

Note that it can stop anywhere there is a "player choice" required.
You will 100% know its going to screw up when the Camera stops moving to the person talking.
Idle Camera can take over inbetween dialog if you don't move your mouse forcing it to fail.

This issue seems to be 2 separate bugs
1. Idle Camera preventing Next Dialog choice from being picked
2. Camera script not updating to next "scene"

Possible Solutions:
1. Remove all player choices from the scene.
2. Allow the player to regain control of their character after the initial "Drop your guns" dialog.

If you have See-Thru-Scopes installed, it will bug out this dialog. You have to remove any weapon in your inventory with a STS attached, and then the dialog should proceed normally. The bug, if I recall, is within STS and how it handles the dynamic camera.
 
Fact StS will bug dialog in this quest especially. I had to console command to get control back at the point were in the stand off.

If you have See-Thru-Scopes installed, it will bug out this dialog. You have to remove any weapon in your inventory with a STS attached, and then the dialog should proceed normally. The bug, if I recall, is within STS and how it handles the dynamic camera.

While that might be true if you see the video - I am using a double barrel shotgun it has no scope.
I will just remove all my guns, just incase thanks for the advice

In all but that quest cause it's forced just don't have a gun out when in dialog and I haven't had any issues.
 
So I tried everyhing everyone suggeseted nothing worked.

I didn't have see thorough scope installed so that wasn't it
I gave all my guns to Curie- so that didn't work
Tried Setstage ss2_Sirick_MQ11 - but that doesn't do anything, I got an error that said set stage not set.

Stops at the exact same splot - when Aiden Blames Jake and jake replies then full stop.

OK so that's a different stage you need to set to get past. Next is 200, then 210. I did not delve deeper than these stages cause 198 fixed my issue. You're past stage 198.

If that is your current load order. It's wrong. I'd recommend reviewing the sticky at the top of the help section.

That's the one thing you especially can't do
I was going to suggest seeing if it was turned off as in the early versions of SS2, turning it on fixed many quest problems.

I have not encountered this bug in at least a dozen runs through this quest. The only advice I can offer is use Kinggath's 50% method to see if its a mod conflict. (disable 1/2 of your mods at a time and see if the issue persists.)
 
That's the one thing you especially can't do - for cinematic sequences dialog camera is mandatory or it is impossible to progress as the mod disables movement keys completely.
It definitely not required advance dialog I have had my dialog camera off like since mid first SS2 playthrough and IT FIXED my dialog issues instantly AND I've run See through scopes with No issues since.
 
Generally speaking altering the dialogue camera from vanilla default settings either via mod or game settings will break quest mods. I have no idea what Bethesda did differently to their quests so they're less likely to break, possibly something at the engine level. However for quest mods you do NOT want to alter the dialogue camera from vanilla default.

Turning off the dialog camera was the best thing I ever did to get past hung dialogs.
 
I have first problems in the Concord Workshop, need to push Jake to the radio to start the dialog he ask you tunning it. After find Aiden and die 1341324 times in the battle with gunners (one of the hardest of the entire game),I kill them all...but the mission was stuck, anything trigger the next step and Jake disappeared. I console it, but Jake don't come back, so I fear some wrong happen in the middle.
