When is Chapter 3?

I haven't seen anyone discuss this yet so here I am:)
I REALLY wish they could remove that HQ system from chapter 2...:( same goes with my "HOT TAKE" thread I made weeks ago and it's still being discussed.
I would like more quests in general:), since many quests are unlike the vanilla game just go to a dungeon, kill one specific enemy, and take one thing and go back(which tends to get CRAZY boring:no:)

I think chapter 2 is quite an open ending in my eyes? Maybe we can finish that gunner conflict first and then that will be Chapter 3, so is that World map on the Comm hub in GNN HQ, man do something with it will be cool, that thing seems ambitious to me.

2 little notes I'm confused about the previous chapters:
Jake, don't respond at all when you talk to him? Like all the others will say "yes?" or "what?" even when they don't have a quest with them.MALA the protection when you first find him/her, just T pose, but we clearly have seen upgraded defend plot can give you proper resting protection within a pod. (We even met this protection NPC named Buddy with a proper resting stance in chapter 2, and man, I LOVE this bot, give him some more thing to do man:))

My another hot take, maybe we can REDUCE the number of these cinematic cutscenes especially when it's an indoor setting, it tends to make me don't know what or who to focus on and it gets less fancy if we put too many in it.(Just my take to make it look like part of the vanilla game and that is it, don't mean I "hate" the cutscenes)

guess advanced multi-person should be in 3*3 plot size then
No plot type or subtype has any restriction on which sizes it can be, and size has no bearing on number of occupants, the internal code is very flexible on that stuff. There is a 4 person 1x1 Residential in an addon pack.

Afaik the practical limit for occupants on a plot is still 9, after which the holo display doesn't know what to do anymore. But like you said it's not tied to plot size in any way nor are plot types tied to plot sizes.

Besides... Since there are about 5 settlements in the Commonwealth that can comfortably fit a 3x3, I'd personally be pissed if a new shiny plot type was only available in 3x3.

I was actually thinking maybe adding a bed to caravan or power or water plot, maybe that could make it in a way advanced?

Adding beds to other plots is problematic iir correctly. Now you can always add production stuff, like food, water or power, to residential plots. With the Chapter 2 update you should be able to add sanitation values as well (I haven't been in the CK since chapter 2 came out so I can't confirm.)

yea maybe the advanced plot could be self-sustained with both water and food in it? and when level 3 give it a weak turret

Stop that. Some of us love the hq and you don’t get to speak for everyone.
I for one would like less quests but you don’t hear me in here asking them to remove stuff that other people like.

and your thread isn’t “still being discussed”, it got necroed by someone looking for LScrap help. Go read it again and you may find your hatred for hq is related to your initial frustration with it.
A little rude for him just stating his opinion. I like HQ as well but no need to get bent out of shape about it.

Everyone has the right to his/her opinion. Just because you like it doesn't mean that everyone else does. The HQ quest are frustrating and sometimes can be difficult for some, like me. But I did work thru them and finished Chapter 2.

^^^ This. ^^^
Many moons ago, I felt like the whole HQ system should be optional. (I was never able to complete the HQ quests - and am now waiting for the QOL improvements still to be implemented.)

However, it seems very clear that the HQ system, while a diamond in the rough, is integral to the future of SS2's grand plans. I was incredibly frustrated - now I'm waiting, elsewhere (Shadow Empire / DW2). I'll be back.

I was very frustrated. Thought the whole HQ quest was a waste of time. But now that that have have finished it. It isn't to bad. Can't wait for Chater 3. I am sure that that would be just as frustrating.

I have had some slight criticism on some of my posts but I don't really pay that much attention to downvotes. Everyone has an opinion and there are times when I am totally wrong with mine. Besides, I have just started playing Fallout 4 with Sim Settlements 2 / Chapter 2 installed and I have over 5,000 hours of playtime in Fallout 4. So, it is all new to me. Admittingly it has an intense learning curve and I have restarted the game seven times... trying to get it right and I still don't really know if I am doing it right? That is, dividing my time playing the vanilla game and Sim Settlements 2. (I am trying to get as many settlements and factions on my side before attacking Gunner's stronghold. Factions like the Brotherhood and the Institute that I would normally destroy in my original gameplay. I love the battles that take place.)

I am at a point in my current playthrough where I want to make contact with the Railroad before going back to help Jake with the radio... where your protagonist inadvertently makes contact with the Gunners? (Currently, I have about 10 settlements that I own.)

I like the HQ system, Its more than a little rude to ask that they remove such a large feature that people clearly put a lot of their time into just because you don't like it personally. With that said, a holo-tape option to skip it might be a good idea when chapter 3 comes out for people who have already played through it. Again, I enjoy the HQ, the only thing I can think of to improve it would be to make it a little more convenient as a player home by adding armor/weapon/powerarmor workbench closer to my room. Maybe make a way to get food out of that cafeteria next to my room for a survival playthrough.
