What happens when Leaders build?

I just started with SS, I installed the 3 in One version. I only have one settlement right now, and that's Sanctuary, and I was wondering what happens to all the Sanctuary houses if you build the City Planner Desk and assign a leader to build the settlement - will the Sanctuary houses be removed? Will they become platforms and weird junk towns sprout on top of the roofs? Is the construction taking place over several days as settlers are recruited, or is everything immediately built and you just wait for settlers to be assigned as they come in? Will the original 5 settlers get included in the settler AI and move into their own individual plots? (I fixed up a house just for Jun and Marcy Long because they are married, and it seems odd that they would live and sleep in different houses (even if they are bitter about the death of their child). The citys build themselves over 3 levels based on scrap, happiness etc.

They are used, built around and upon, including internal plots. Scrap ones remain.

Depending on the Holotape settings, it can upgrade while you are there or you can have realistic times.

Will the original 5 settlers get included in the settler AI and move into their own individual plots?

Auto assigned.

I think this is more a limation of the scripting, I do love your indepth though into the game, you tend to think like me, however as i said, the above is one.

The other is simple. If i could I would have a second hosue, 5 miles away, my wife and kids could have that and I could live in my den in pure peace lol
