Well, Well, Well starting alongside Dark Horizons

During my Xbox playthrough I encountered a bug where during the quest "Dark Horizons" and when i was given the quest step to go down to the Well it initated two different things. 1) A cutscene that I feel like happens later or earlier in Sim Settlements 2)It gives me the misc objective to tune into Jake's radio frequency. Interacting with the second causes the quest Well, Well, Well to trigger. Note that even if I don't interact with the misc objective upon returning to the Hardware Store it will trigger the start of Well, Well, Well where Jake is speaking to the Pastor.

I tried a couple of different things to see how to work around these issues.
1) Sprinting into the sewer before the cutscene can start - this resulted in a bug where my camera would sink into the floor and make it impossible to progress
2) I also tried this wearing Power Armour and it resulted in a similar result but instead of the camera being an issue it would completely restrict my character's movement

From what I've managed to do here is a solution that worked for me so far.
1) Progress Dark Horizons as usual
2) After meeting Lupe, activate Jake's radio signal and progress through Well, Well, Well
Note : For my save game I ended up having two different copies of Jake. (Jake 1 with the leather shoulder pad and Jake 2 with the beaten up face)
3) If everything has worked so far you should still find Jake 2 next to the Well. Interact with him and he'll say something along the lines of "Still need power, Slick"
4) After activating the Well head back to the Hardware Store and you should be able to complete the quest.
5) After waiting a few days you should be able to start Hostile Takeover without any issues.

I've only just finished the Gunner attack at my settlement so I can't entirely confirm anything so I hope that this gets fixed soon and I hope this can act as a temporary fix for Xbox and PC players.

A few people have mentioned this happening; I'll be up to there on my own current "real playthrough" save over the weekend, I'll give it a look myself.

Just checking some details though; when was the save that did this started? Like, were you already past "Well Well Well" before installing Chapter 2?

Yeah I was well past "Well Well Well". I completed Chapter 1 at least a couple of months before Chapter 2 was out

Alright, my theory is: if you'd already done that quest, a recent patch's attempt to fix that little 'cinematic' not playing might have accidentally made it play (and then trigger the next quest stage after you'd see it if it played 'properly') regardless of where you were up to, just making it happen the next time you exited those sewers. Give me a couple more hours and I'll verify.

Alright, just got through "Dark Horizons", and the "flyover showing the lights turning on" 'cutscene' did NOT play for me. I'm running version 2.0.0k though, maybe it got fixed now?
