Please post bugs specific to Rise of the Commonwealth and Vault 88 in this thread.

If you are experiencing a "hall of mirrors" or screen tearing type visual bug use the mod on Nexus to fix the issue.

There are no *universal* settings for the Hall of Mirrors Fix mod. The testers all came up with different settings. So it is VERY system specific. The size of your load order will also have an effect. So it's best to start with StarC's suggested settings and go from there.

IF, you still have issues, then use the Optimized version, which will help a lot.
But keep in mind.. Vault 88 is bigger than any City Plan released so far. It makes all others look like Home Plate. LOL

Did someone say the Vault 88 settlement buildout is BIG?!?
Hmmm with my penchant for OVERBUILDING, sounds like a build for me to attempt to see how closely I can edge this to breaking....LMAO :jester

With that said, This big build you speak of, Link to, or the name of said BIG blueprint? Are we talking about the pre-installed ROTC version of 88?
Not that I'm gonna overdo THIS one too...**walks in circle whistling not so inconspicuously**:whistle3:secret

This one will teach even you what overbuilding really is. LOL!
Longfellow's Cabin was 1.5mb, around 10x the build limit, Vault 88 is 2.77mb (after it got a little diet)
So yea... it's freaking big. hehhehhe

You tease. By the by, I love the Longfellows Cabin plan. The Museum was a nice touch but I notice that nobody uses the big bar on the right side (facing the Cabin) of the ravine. All that possible hooch not being drank by depressed harbormen.

EDIT: Also, you guys appear to have two topics for Vault 88 Bugs. Expecting some OVERFLOW, HM?

I actually had this show up on the Longfellow's Cabin build, too. Though it only happened once and I couldn't replicate it.

Sorry about the duplicate thread, I didn't notice either! I've moved the old one to the archives so there won't be confusion in the future. :D

I've got a bug. Finished the Vault 88 quests, Kept Valerie Barstow around, and now there are no city plans available for V-88. but on my other character I killed her before placing the overseer's desk and there was a city plan . . . Not sure if the quest flags didn't register, or what, but it's going to "bug" me If I can't figure out how to get her to lead a city plan.

(Other Info: used SetStage console command to skip heading out to halucigen building. MIGHT be the cause, but consider that I'm running this game w/o a SSD and on a system with a decade old AMD CPU. really don't need those 4 extra load screens . . .)

Sys Specs: AMD Phoenom II x4 b60, 16 gigs DDR3 ram, nVidia GeForce GTX 950 w/ 1gig V-Ram, Win 10, Steam version, and running legitimate copy of game (not pirated/cracked like many others. I've seen cracks break mods, and this IS BugThesda we're talking about) game version 1.10.114.0 (Not gonna update till I HAVE to for mods, lol)

Update: U just noticed that it's calling my Vault 88 "FSE ROOM11" as in "A Settler has started construction of (xxxxx) in FSE Room11." Pretty sure it's some mod doing it, but damned if I know . . . I had some issues with Vault 88 Exterior Workshop but I turned it off and reverted to a save from before I installed it . . . hoping my save isn't flokkered (87 hours into that save alone . . .)

Edit possible culprit found:

Testing now

looks like that was the culprit. Fragged my whole save . . . now I'll have to get all the settlers'followers from Gannon's Trove and Leaders of the Commonwealth all over again . . . man, I hate conflicting mods . . . /facepalm

Hello, i'm having a CTD at level 0 of Vault 88, once i turn on the automatic upgrade of the plots. From the papyrus log i'm not reading anything strange and also tried with a different save. Currently playing on medium settings and only sim settlements mod (deactivated all my mods and created a new player). I could upload my save if necessary.
Edit:
Forgot to say that i'm using vortex to manage my mods.

SYS: i5-8300H , Geforce GTX 1050, 8GB DDR3 RAM, Windows 10 Pro

Strange one happening to me with 88. I put Curie in charge of it and everything went fine for a while. At level 1 however the whole place wont get fully built and I see objects floating without a floor under them. Also, no overseers leader desk anywhere. Using the new style for fun with this settlement alone. I am not sure if it is complex or simple plan since I use a mix of both. On level 0 settler cap was 6 and level 1 cap is 8 if that helps.

I also have a good number of other settlements at the moment and I am using the medium settings. All other settlements working just fine.

You can try the city refresh.. but do not leave while it's running. And it will take a long time to complete. Well.. level 1 isn't to bad. Level 3 is like 1/2 hour or so.
Also turn off the City Plan auto upgrade. It's waaaaay to big for that to work correctly.

Probably not a bug but after reaching level 3 with the default less-complex plan I decided to go all-in and replace it with the complex plan. Which took most of a day... :) Anyway, I didn't bother with self-destruct and found that the fountain splashes remained (raining on the desk at level 0). Also, I think none of the stages "cleared" when levelling up. The planner's desk remained at the fountain (I scrapped it because the new one was there in the Overseer's office), all the scaffolding remained, the for rent signs, etc. A refresh fixed it (and took about 2 hours :)).

Even with the complex plan there are a few odd empty spaces and too few jobs and beds for 21 settlers. There's a large completely empty room on the top floor on the left side (with both plans) and then there are these nicely furnished flats on the top floor on the right but without any beds though there seem to be spaces for beds. Maybe I'll just manually add them. Also a couple of niches on the 2nd floor which have the perfect size for interior plots (commercial), maybe these are "hidden" and only appear when needed? Like the agricultural plots - two have now appeared. I still oonly have 18 settlers because of the lack of beds and jobs.

Apart from that: Awesome! Love everything about my new vault!

Changing from one plan to the other (optimized to to complex) is a risky proposition in the vault. It is so massively over budget it causes a lot of issues the engine and your system (mine too) have trouble handling.

There are enough jobs/beds. They might not spawn/assign like they should.. Look for blumen.. and plots outside/on top of the atrium.

Thanks, Woodfuzzy! I knew I was pushing my luck and PC with the complex build, but the normal plan was very stable (unlike Mechanist's Lair, which sometimes crashes on loads/fast travels). But yeah, everything takes 10x longer in the Vault so I need more patience.

I have increased the settler count to the 21 in the city plan. Beds have now shown up in the upper class accomodation on the top floor, but I still seem to be missing some. Workshop reports 16 beds, 12 of them are SS plots. The final two agricultural plots also showed up as well as one of the two missing commercial plots on the 2nd floor. So I have 3 according to the planner's desk and think I'm still missing one. I wish there was an option to unassign all jobs and beds and then reassign them - I'm thinking maybe the problem is with the 16 settlers I started with who already had jobs in the normal plan.

Anyway, I still have a couple of rooms like this one which could use a bed, I could just add one manually:

And then there's the one empty room on both plans, after walking up the stairs next to the deli:

Here's the current report from the desk (21/21 settlers):
- 8 agriculture plots (that seems perfect)
- 3 commercial (needs +1, I think)
- 3 industrial (one IDEK, one advanced industrial, haven't found the other one)
- 0 martial
- 1 recreational
- 12 residential

Not every thing is spawning like it should. There should be a bed in that room for starters and another room pretty much like that one with a bed.
and 4 commercial on the second floor, 2 bluemen along the bar area...

Newb here. Just started using Sim Settlements this week, and Vault 88 is my first try at using the city planner. Apologies if this is a stupid question, or should be asked somewhere else. Feel free to smack me upside the head and send me on my way (provided you point me in the right direction).

I've run into something that may or may not be a bug. Before doing the city plan for V88, I had set up just enough power lines to get the water pump running down in the East Sector. Now that I've started the city plan, the water pump appears to be turned on even though there's no power connected to it. Is this intended? I ask because it's really messing with the defense numbers. Gonna need a lot of turrets to get to 109 defense with only 4 dwellers. And I'm gonna need to do that in order for them to upgrade to level 1, right?

Thanks. And Thanks for all the work that went into this mod!

That's easy enough to answer: Working as intended, just carry on and wait for that amazing vault to build. Everything in RotC is powered (no power lines, though) and the defense rating will go up with further levels, I think mine at level 3 is now 230-ish.

@woodfuzzy: As for my vault, looks like those final plots just won't spawn. I tried moving everybody to Boston Airport and Spectacle Island and back and refreshed the vault again and now none of the non-SS beds on the upper floors spawned, I have less than before. Didn't get the last commercial plot, either.
